Constant stuttering when moving.

I'm having the same problem (but on linux), and the best solution i found is to lower the view distance. Above 156 i have lag spikes, mostly independantly of the other settings, making the game unplayable.

I hope it helps; it seems there is still room for performance upgrades on this game, as my system (approximatively like yours) should be adapted enough to run this type of games.

Hallo liebe Vintage Community

RAM: 16 Gb

Grafik: Nvidia GT 1030

Festplatte: 1 TB SSD

WIndows 10

Constant stuttering when moving, tried changing settings makes no difference.

Any suggestions?

Tracking down lag issues requires more info as explained here: https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=Debugging#Debugging_performance_issues

That sounds like server lag or server connectivity issues. Is that singleplayer or multiplayer?

It's the View distance causing the stuttering anything above 128 (like it's loading chunks when moving), this is not a framerate issue, the frame rate is a smooth 60fps.

all the other settings effect the FPS not the stuttering.

Single player, game length doesn't matter, memory usage is over 3GB.

How do you run commands in game, I will try the  command /debug logticks 100. if I find out how.

I'm also having stuttering/lag issues. My system is AMD 3900X, 32GB DDR4 3200MHz, AMD 6800 XT, os and games on separate SSDs. Latest Arch Linux running 5.16 linux kernel. Lagging starts after playing for some time and gets worse when moving around the world. Framerate is very steady but the mouse input is stuttering or lagging behind. I play singleplayer only. As stated above the view distance setting is most impactful but it only postpones the issue for me. Logs have /debug logticks 40 when stuttering/lag occurred.
