grains

So far I am finding grains to be useless. They tell me I can grind them into flour, but I cant figure out how. I'm guessing the quern will, but is there anything that'll do it early game? I thought maybe a rock and the grain in the crafting grid. Then thought maybe adding a bowl? But I can't find any information on this.

You can eat the grain I thought. Bread is a progression thing that requires the quern which you can do as soon as you have copper.

The rock you obtain by breaking any adjacent block, then it will drop as full rock block instead of stone.

Next version you'll be able to make porridge from grain.

dont forget you can also use grain to feed livestock and chickens. My favorite tactic is to feed flax grain to animals becuase it has a lower sat value and you have to grow a lot of it to get fiber to make cloth so why not feed the animals with the flax grain and save the yummy rye spelt and rice for porrige:)
