Is it possible to repaint the wattle and daub after the fact or is it stuck with the color it is crafted with?

It takes clay, sand, dirt, sticks, and grass to make one block. Clay is somewhat valuable so if I'm going to burn that for a building block, it seems like it's better to use it to make cobblestone and get two blocks for the price of one, and without the dirt and sand, which are also useful and not renewable.

No, actually I was trying to drag it *down*.

I also can't get leading them with a rope to work. I think I wrangled a gen 2 at first and the rope immediately snapped and dropped to the floor. I made sure to get a gen 3 next time and it stayed connected, but I couldn't get it to move where I wanted it to go and after stretching the rope for a bit trying, it finally snapped and was back in my inventory.

Is it only decorative, or does it keep wolves from spawning in your sheep pen or something?

Yeah, the wiki says that chickens no longer spook at all at generation 10... it just also says you can pet them to get them to hold still for a minute before that and I haven't been able to get that to work. Like: SIT STILL, I'M TRYING TO COUNT YOU DINGDONGS.

The wiki says that generation 1 and higher animals can be pet by right clicking on them to make them stop running around. I now have generation 3 chickens and goats and right clicking them never does anything.

Like I said though, only some of them showed cold damage. Even the ones that didn't still gave no grain or string. It seems like by rights, there should have been at least two or three string and grain between the dozen or so plants.

I planted some Flax in what should have been enough time for them to grow before the winter according to their growth rate as stated in game ( like planted in late august on terra praeta with 80% K ). They didn't finish before it started getting too cold (Late October, now November) and even the ones in my greenhouse started to take damage ( some of them, not all). So I harvested them even though they were only in the second to last stage of growth. I'm sure I read on the wiki that this should still give a reduced, but some yield. All I got were seeds.

I was fishing and caught an old boot. Does it have any use?

Has Anybody Else Experienced Glitchy Crafting Output Slots?

No mods here and it happens sometimes. Just have to restart when it does. -
Wow, thousands of blocks? I've built a road about as far as I can reasonably go and return in a day and am getting ready to build a hovel to spend the night in there before going further and that appears to be about 300 blocks away from my main home.

Ahh, I have yet to see a trader in my world. Then again, I also have yet to find any sedimentary rock. Only Andesite and Periodot. I would love to find some chalk so I can make mortar. Or some better than low fertility soil... I don't know if I got a bad seed or what.

It looks like the drystone blocks do not have a slab version. If you use a chisel to remove half of the voxels from one to make it into a slab, are they lost, or can they be used to make a second slab?
-
Oh, at what point does it stop counting as a wall for a room? I assumed that as long as it still had at least one voxel thick in one whole face that would count. Oh well, I guess I can just hang the lamp on one side of the full glass block.
-
Can you use a chisel to hollow out a block of glass and put an oil lamp down inside it, but have the glass still seal the room while letting light in?

The name Potassium comes from the word potash, which is where it was originally obtained by burning wood and washing the ashes into a pot and boiling off the water. It would be nice to be able to obtain potassium fertilizer this way instead of having to find mineral deposits.

The wiki says that vegetables rot into 0.5 rot but that cooked meals rot into 1 per serving. I thought that cooking my spare turnips into soup with water and one turnip would therefore let me get rot from them in a 1:1 ratio instead of a 2:1 ratio, but it did not. Is it only 0.5 rot per serving, or does the game keep track of what exactly went into cooking the meal and figure that since there was only one vegetable, you only get 0.5 rot?

What the hell? I thought they wouldn't spawn in your house if it was well lit. I'm two years into my world now and so far I have only occasionally emerged from my cellar to find one had spawned during the storm on the main floor, and the last several storms that didn't even happen when I started spamming more torches during the storm. Now I just went to sleep and woke up in the middle of a storm ( normally I wake up right when the storm starts so I can run down to the cellar ) with a deep bowtorn in my house, and the second I killed that, 3 drifters jumped me. They were also all flickering and glitchy looking, like they were phasing through the walls or something.

The wiki says you have to break the skep to get the honeycomb out. Does that mean it kills the bees and you have to wait for a nearby colony to repopulate?
-
Oh, so you first have to cut them and transplant them ( but not to farmland ) and then you can fertlize them?
-
The wiki says that you can apply fertilizer to berry bushes to improve their health. I have a bunch of bone meal and tried to right click on some not so healthy bushes with it to fertilize them and it doesn't seem to work. What's the deal?
