  1. in this case, it just means progress continued and a solution was found.... the thread just wasn't updated on the matter in a timely manner. no worries cheers o/
  2. I've been watching some yt vids on gold mining in rl on a small scale... having a minecart with rails that can be pushed to the mining entrance and back could be a viable asset, with the minecart having the loading capacity of a reinforced mining bag idk.. ie, doesn't have to be full blown steam right away, maybe
  3. ack, 3yr old thread if not already, try the watering can
  4. welcome to the forum @Miquel Villarroya something I've noticed that will be different, if playing with the map on, the part of the map that has been revealed by the player will no longer show. The server map will keep waypoints and propick infos for the individual. there is a file in the map directory per client that holds the revealed map bit that will need to be copied over to the new/next computer, to preserve the revealed map
  5. welcome to the forum @T-sar can't tell from the snapshots, is the area 3 x 8 no holes or slabs for the ground bit, and 3x3 water bit?
  6. from the wiki, and my own experience, 1 degree over the seeds max, will cause stunted growth. the reality is, over the space of a planting field, not all blocks, though they can, become hot by 1 degree so its possible a field of growing crops could be partially affected
  7. and I'm asking why isn't the rage quit an option without death? like when inadvertently the house of wood catches fire from the torch being used to light the furnace and ya run around with an axe trying to chop out the fire, but it just keeps spreading, and the chests of values poofs one after another.....
  8. a fence is considered 1.2(?) blocks in height (and imbued with magic repellent, ok maybe not, but there is coded logic in there somewhere) so in of it self, the chiseled facsimile won't block the same way. and also why using beams becomes a poor choice in emulating a fence. also kind of depends on what is desired to block. goats and bears won't/can't climb over a single height fence, but to prevent entry with blocks, the blocks would need to be taller. inventively, a fence post could be placed 1 block deep, on the side of the stair, so just the tip of the fence is sticking out from the ground, that would kinda of hide it, and still offer some stumble for things trying to climb over... the key word is invent along with some trial n error gl?
  9. did a search in the wiki on ModsByServer and found the following: I'm not sure in which order of precedence the mods folders are loaded in (ie servermods first). It doesn't appear from the above that anything further is needed when downloading server mods except for the pro-tip bit
  10. I'm kinda struck by the deeper question (well maybe not struck, chiseled?)... If VS wasn't developed, would a VS have been created? or perhaps one day, VS itself might be referred to as "the game that shall not be mentioned" while entertainingly toiling in the sandy context build(?) The roots of sandbox play before computers where mud pies? wooden building blocks, lincoln logs, erector sets, lego's, model railroads... old inventions renewed, idk...
  11. with no mod, seems the stair will need to be replaced with a chisled version, mixed with the wood type, and an additional chiseled wood block on top of that for the railing? detail is engaging, the crafting work, sometimes not so much
  12. when selecting the map, enter edit mode (click on the pen symbol), should be a repair option, if not already, give it a try?
  13. you could capture sawblades and bells both those have persistence through chunk unloading/loading. the other mobs will despawn once the chunk unloads
  14. lets talk about armor.... 4 observations (with armor), ability to use range weapons, repair ability, unhindered movement, and ability to heal without having to remove the armor first have I said too much, hmm...
  15. so this is a paid app?
  16. just curious what settings were used to create the map you did?
  17. seems vanilla and I'd never took notice, the tops of the blocks don't align with the sides ha! or is the point at something different?
  18. might be this one? (looks to be a good one) Ultimate Mechanical Power Guide - Vintage Story
  19. there is the small matter where the tailor has the ability to make tailored gambeson that appears to be a nod better than... and can be worn by any of the other class players... so there is that (i'll add that it will take a tailor to repair the tailored gambeson.. ) (ref: https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Tailored_gambeson_armor)

    Shoo!

don't feed them. when the need to move them arises, fill the trough, they will move (unless sleeping)....
  21. Talking Heads - Once in a Lifetime...
  22. They do for me, big thanks on taking the time to screenshot!
  23. nice, with a distance screenshot to emphasized smallness, nice
  24. ugh, nimble finger dislexia... its TUPS, good catch, edited the mis type, thx (the unofficial public server)
  25. It might be nice to have official servers representing the different playstyles... Standard <---- the current server Exploration Wilderness Survival Homo sapiens Creative Building as it is, when the current server is full, an I really need a VS fix, i hop onto TUPS, its vanilla, and very low attendance.
