  1. my opinions no one asked for 1. as long as they are able manage two games at once without compromising vs or other game it doesnt matter that they are making two games 2. as far as i understand it, there is a plan to bring over things that work in the new game into VS, i dont mind that since VS's combat and class system needs some rework, just as long as VS doesnt just turn into the other game whilst both games exist at the same time... whats the point of have 2 games by the same studio that play the exact same 3. they shouldnt just copy paste features from one game into the other. like if i play the other game, i shouldnt find the VS bear with the exact same code, model and animations. yes the idea of using what works in one game in the other sounds neat, but at least make tweaks and a different model. 4. what ever BS behind the scenes that caused hytale to die shouldnt be brought over to Anego in anyway. even if none of the people hired caused the issues for hytale, just dont bring it. imo the biggest reason for VS's success is the fact that it actually released and works, every other block game competitor either never released or was stuck in pre alpha tech demo mode
  2. i think the solution to this is just give more control over the crafting guide, at the moment it cycles through all the combinations by itself and (iirc) pauses when you mouse over it, but for some items such as cloth and leather, it can take a while cycling through all the many combinations, if two arrows where added you could click so that you could cycle through and read recopies at your own pace, then i feel most of the confusion will be removed
  3. fishing and poaching the lakes in the game are kinda just used for only traveling at the moment, so it would be great to place and maintain different types of traps for different creatures that may or may not be in season. i also think it would be cool if some lakes did and didnt have certain creatures in them so you'd have to find a lake which contains the fishing opportunities you want. rabbits shouldnt just spawn out of nowhere, there should be rabbit warrens that they pop in and out of so you can actually identify a good spot to place down rabbit traps. and snare traps that if a larger animal steps on, traps them in place so they cant run off at full speed like they do now basically, as much as i love Grug maxing (chasing everything down with spears), id also enjoy evolving past it
  4. a giant crashed airship would be cool imo. like lore wise you have people trying to survive by going underground so why not have a faction that tried and failed to survive in the air by building giant hot air balloons or some temporal suspension dust stuff (obviously how the giant airship flew doesnt matter since it crashed anyway, or maybe it could be still floating abandoned in the air). but basically it could be great lore wise to get some different perspectives to the lore events from a different group who went up instead of down, and there could be upgrade parts for the glider and since air ships need to be as light as possible, crafting schematics for better light armour for those who prefer speed over plate armour protection. basically, we got dungeons underground, why not dungeons in the air/crashed.
  5. horse tail has a chance to grow on fallow soil, so if you're playing multiplayer, its not your friends failing to understand farming and planting single horse tail expecting it to grow
  6. please just fix and address whats currently in the game instead of adding in new features before the foundations are set. i really dont want a repeat of dayz standalone where the devs within the same year started bragging about their super realistic sound mechanics whilst removing the zombies from a zombie game because their AI was causing engine and server issues.
  7. all im gonna say is, there is a reason why rich people have silver dinnerware instead of gold, gold is poisonous if ingested, so sure golden cups and bowls for display and showing off as display pieces, but if you eat off golden dinnerware long enough you will die
  8. elytra problem. its so fast, efficient and easy to obtain that it beats all other forms of transport meaning that players dont engage with them and mojang has no desire to build upon them. why build a minecart system to travel between bases when flying takes 1/4 of the time and shulker boxes make transporting with minecarts irrelevant even if modded. why get a horse and risk getting attacked or missing out on interesting landmarks if you can just fly over out of range of hostiles and see all land marks from the air and do it all three times as fast as a horse. end result players have no reason the engage with other transportation methods. so many times on different servers with different people they dont understand that im building a minecart system because its fun, not because im looking to speed run the game. so conclusion, even tho air travel could fit the game, i dont want it to make every other form of travel irrelevant the way minecraft has done. i know people dont like comparing the two games, but i think no one wants VS to repeat a mistake the other game made
  9. i think air travel via balloons could work since i dont see it as lore unfriendly, there are plenty of post apocalyptic stories where air transport becomes common since the ground is too dangerous. but as mentioned it should be slow and expensive. i say it should primarily be used as a way to transport large amounts of resources from one place to another in a way they cant be automated. and even tho the glider is already in the game, i dont want VS to fall victim to other block games elytra problem where one mode of transport makes all others irrelevant and kill off all further additions to other transportation methods from developers and has players on multiplayer be ***holes because they dont understand that maybe you dont want to use elytra to travel.
  10. irl dogs do way more than bark and howl. minecraft only uses the tale as an indicator and have limited sound because when dogs where added minecraft used very basic animations and sound design (and the devs refuse to update it for imo stupid reasons). you only have to look at the current wolves in game (basically dogs already) to see that they have plenty of animations and vocalisation and behaviours already and thats before 1.20 updates them. yes i agree that more than just dogs should be tameable, but your reasoning doesn't make sense to why dogs wouldnt work because to put it simply, minecraft dogs are a very bad representation for an animal in both real life and what VS track record for animal behaviour is

    Towels

a simple way to quickly remove soaked effects after swimming in water or panning for too long. you equip a towel in your hand, hold right click and then after a very basic rubbing animation where the player hand moves upper and down or wipes their face with the towel, the soaked status effect is removed. then maybe you need to place the towel down in a place that is above 0 degrees for it the dry out after 2 in game hours before it can be used again. could be crafted from 4 squares of linen and fancy looking ones with patterns could be bought from a trader. is it the most useful item? no, is it urgently needed to be implemented? no but ive noticed recently (definitely because its winter irl lmao) that some people have suggested more ways to warm up the player but suggestions like japanese style hot springs and saunas all involve water in some form, so maybe even tho a towel might be limited in uses now (falling over board when sailing a boat in winter IG) in the future it might be useful when more mechanics get added.

  12. im willing to bet real money that if earthquakes get added to the game, they would become on of the most hated features by the community and eventually removed. yes more ways for the environment to interact with the player is good, but with the chiselling system it would suck all the fun out of the game as youd have to keep track of potentially hundreds of customized blocks just to have a chance of repairing your bases to what they looked like before. thats not to mention how on earth the devs would figure out and then code items placed on the floor and shelves like crock pots are meant to react to an earthquake.
  13. the pattern is. its heaviest when you want to go mining, its lowest middle of the night in winter
  14. fish and fishing in general needs a lot of work, i wouldnt even be mad if there was just the "fish update" that only added fishing, new fish mechanics, more fish and more ways to cook fish.
  15. i want to point out, the original post by pistok says japanese hotsprings, not yellow stone like ones, i dont see a reason why both types could exist in the game because as is said it would be great for roleplay and something builders could build around. sure firepits are cheaper and faster, but if we lived out lives being cheap and fast, then they would be boring no need to explain where it is, ive been there, fell in, worst family holiday ever 20 years ago. and can confirm, i didnt die from the heat.
  16. i feel like the game having more alternatives to warming up in winter other than firepit would be a great use for hot springs. add in a towel to dry yourself off to remove the soaking wet debuff and you got yourself a whole roleplay feature every builder would love.
  17. i agree with the comment made months ago talking about how chickens scare way too easily. the fact that they get spooked through walls aswell makes its worse. i understand that domestication is a huge part of the game but you just cant domesticate them without building your initial chicken coops away from your base.
  18. thats the risk you have to take, BUT 6x6 rooms from my experience are safe 90% of the time. furthermore, you do get warnings that a storm is incoming, so you have about 5-8 minutes to prepare. so just grab all the equipment you need to do some light work (you can do precision work with the distortion effect, hence why i suggested panning, it requires 0 accuracy) and i suggest that having at least 5 spears on hand is a good way to fight off any drifters no matter how high their level (thrown spears do far more damage than just stabbing with them). storms are only dangerous if you're outside or in huge rooms, single drifters on their own if you keep them at arms length are absolutely the best example of cowards in gaming, they throw rocks at you and agro for no reason, but the moment you fight back with any courage they flee
  19. i think that panning is probably the most productive thing you can do in a storm, its the perfect time to work through boney soil or get some copper and gems for trading from gravel. with the temporal distortions its basically gambling while drunk!
  20. the amount of mass grave ruins with skeletons in them i find in my single player worlds is concerning but human skulls are obtainable
  21. speaking as an animator, even adding 3 fingers and thumb would be a pain since the stub hands already exist and as mentioned every tool will need updated animations, and by judging from the new wolf animations meant to be implemented next update, the hand animations wont just be a quick thing. hands are really something animators and game devs need to think about at the very beginning of development. its not a quick addition. id safely say adding hands would add a year of extra work at minimum. but in terms of rings. id suggest just a added flat png texture layer to the hand that shows a ring where the finger would be on the hand. i cant describe it well but i can think of a way of adding rings to the game that doesnt require a complete overhaul of the games animations and models by adding fingers.
  22. you say that like its a bad thing, i love it when i throw a spear and it somehow hits my target 2 to 3 times.
  23. i disagree with having guns no matter how old, i just dont see them working with the setting myself. however late medieval cannons im all for

    Add Grapes

fine... ill be the one to say it, please add ducks and lemonade aswell
  25. my issue with minecraft is that it doesnt have a focus/a target audience. why try promote environmentalism is the only way to play the game is to build factory farms and strip mine entire biomes. why constantly try patch out automated farms when their official guide books teaches you how to build automated farms. why try market to kids but then balance the game for try hard hardcore speed runners. whats the point in added different mounts and selling merchandise that involves minecarts if eltrya kills off all reason for any of them to exist. why are they so hell bent on chasing the scp horror game market this late into its relevancy. why add so much redstone stuff which the redstone community never asks for or patch our its usefulness. is the game meant to be educational or unlimited creativity? for a game thats meant to be a sandbox it sure as hell rail roads you. also the best difference between vs and mc imo is that on mc servers its way too easy for a actual 6 year old to dominate an entire server
