I mean, they're also incorrect. Wolves ONLY kill small animals like rabbits and chickens. Animals like deer and pigs are only killed by bears. I usually end up with a pig or two wandering into my growling pit and nothing happens to them unless a small critter drops in. Also... just keep an eye out. My hunter is constantly hunting, I hunt wolves and bears on purpose. All you need to do is find a nice place to have a lookout - you can build one or just find a hill - and scan around. I haven't been surprised by a wolf or bear in forever. ETA: You CAN put bears in the growling pit and it works to suppress spawn!

Spouse and I started a new game. We get rifts, we get high and low activity, we've had temporal storms, and lots of drifters underground. But like, no random drifters on the surface or in our (unlit) cellar. No mods that change mobs are installed. Bears, wolves and boars with babies still aggressive and spawn fine.

Nope, it's not the mouse. I turned the mouse off completely and it still did it. Also the scroll wheel still worked fine on my button bar etc. Ended up restarting the computer itself to fix it. Very weird. All other games were fine, just VS map was screwing up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've had a really easy time with larch seeds and with them spawning lots of leaves, like a christmas tree. Ebony, redwood and bald cypress are my difficulty.

Has anyone suddenly had their map start doing weird things? I've been playing all day with no problem, now suddenly whenever I open my map it rolls all the way out to max view. I didn't change anything, it just started happening. It's not a mouse issue (turned my mouse off, still doing it) and every world I open does it. I've restarted the full game several times and nothing has helped.

Oh I forgot about the catwalk thing! I've never used it but I've seen Kurahzarr do it before.

1. Like I said, they're supposed to be 50-50 but I personally have gotten much closer to 25-75, and I've definitely seen more generations. 2. They're in a pen, so great. Go in and milk them. It's fine if they run away, they will freeze in place if you manage to milk them. 3. yes you can. I have. 4. All females will attack if you unsuccessfully milk them, they become aggressive. I have both goats and sheep, and I'll probably not try goats again. They don't fully calm down until like gen 10. I've still managed to be milking them since like gen 4 though.

I think my goats are at Gen 15 now? I've never ever had a 50/50 split in any generations, I know that's the % in the wiki but I've ended up much closer to 25% male 75% female. I kill all the males except one every gen so I've got an eye on it. I'm confused by why you don't just put your goats in a pen? You can milk through the bars of the fence until they're at like gen 4 and don't attack anymore, and once they're Gen 3 you can one-shot them with the cleaver without aggroing anyone. Just go into the pen with your chopper. So at say, gen 3, I'm killing all the males except the last generation one (I know it doesn't have an effect but still) and the gen 1 females. At Gen 4 I kill all the males but one and the Gen 2 females. So I'm still breeding the last gen's females and the current gen's females, just to milk. Once I feel like I have plenty, I'll start killing all but the latest gen females.

You can still do things at night, that doesn't have to be wasted time. On Calm rift nights, you'll hardly see any drifters. Mining is pretty safe. Do your cooking. Do your forging. Do your chiseling. Do your clay forming. You're seriously going to waste time doing all those things for hours, do them at night!

If the monsters spawning in daylight bug is actually fixed, that's huge. That was a real problem!

Uh, obviously? I've chiseled some brick wall pieces too and you end up with an off number of voxels. That's why I was asking to see individual pieces.

Can you crack off some individual pieces to show me how you did it??

I mean, the story is the backbone of what the game is about. They've always talked about the story. Honestly it's what sets it apart from the hundreds of of crafting/survival games.

My sheep have been pregnant for multiple MONTHS, and my months are on 20 days. Occasionally there's a baby goat in the goat pen, but there's never a lactating goat in there with it. My goats and sheep are just pregnant forever. They're gen 5 so it's not like they've never bred before, but what is the gestation time exactly?

If you place a beam on a chiseled block, you CANNOT remove it until you remove the whole block. When they're not attached to a chiseled block, I haven't had a problem finding the lil hitbox

I like it but only being able to access my storage while I'm sitting in the boat is annoying, and the fact it just launches me into the water when I get out is even more annoying. I've got a dock with blocks tight to either side and it still usually dumps me in the water.

Holy cow the amount of people saying "yet another predator" blow my mind... I want some form of cow - aurochs, bison, oxen, etc - and some sort of cart-pulling animal like a donkey. I'd love to see a wheeled wagon, maybe it would only work on path or compressed dirt so it doesn't devalue the elk but it would feel great to go with a sledge or cart to go logging or mining.

I can't figure out how to place the iron trap doors. No matter whether I put them on the inside or outside, the ghost tells me they're in the wrong place.

Yes, everything is up to date, and I'm running a very need-intensive mod collection on Skyrim, which is famously terribly optimized. When a block game is crashing more than Skyrim, something's definitely wrong, LOL

Is anyone else having this? The whole game will lock up and have to be closed via the Task Manager. I'm getting a couple of these every play session. I make a backup EVERY time I start playing now just in case the world corrupts.
