  1. That's not really normal luck. Just make sure you have a lit torch and dirt to completely enclose yourself by nightfall. I keep inventory on death because losing my stuff is too irritating for me and I do my best to not die already.
  2. My entire quern is flashing constantly, I try not to look at it so it doesn't give me a headache. The stop stays still while a ghost top turns and z fights with the stationary top. Minor detail, I'm enjoying the patch and found copper before fall when I was afraid I would not.
  3. I'm getting a weird thing where the game runs normally and then suddenly acts like it's hanged for 15 s or so, and then goes back to normal. So far it has not crashed.
  4. I hate to leave my first world but I think there's so much changed it is better to start new. I see there's a way to download old versions. Can you install two at the same time or just the one?
  5. No, we have chicken nuggets at home.
  6. I would like more map icons, like a bear or wolf face to mark areas where they spawn, a deer head to mark spawns of herbivores, and some kind of icon to show unstable areas. I have too many X's on the map.
  7. I think if the gravel is in a biome where there is grass, it might spread, but if it's in a biome without grass, you can wait until the end of the world and grass will not spread to a dirt block placed there even if it's adjacent to 50 grass blocks in the neighboring biome. I just had to give up raising an area by covering a small patch of gravel in the middle of grass with dirt because the grass will not grow there.
  8. A sad thing is that if a biome does not already have grass growing there, grass will not spread to dirt blocks placed in that biome. So you can't introduce grasslands into a desert or gravel biome. If you find a patch of grassy dirt, don't remove it because if you do it is gone forever.
  9. Did they stay gone? Sometimes my animals vanish if I am returning from a trip away. I walk up and the pen is empty and then after a few minutes they appear. Bonus: Wolves and bears are invisible too.
  10. I think it matters if they go into a cave or you lock them in a dark room. They can be outside at night without a problem.
  11. Yes, you can use any whole blocks with material listed as Stone or Soil.
  12. Every cook knows you add the ingredients in alphabetical order.
  13. I see spyglasses or binoculars have been mentioned before. I would also like a placeable telescope. I have a tower that I like to look down upon my domain from, and a telescope would be nice for looking at the bear on the lake shore. Think of those pedestal binoculars you can find at tourist locations.
  14. I would like to have a window pane with a sill inside (or outside, you could rotate it) that I can place something on, like a cool rock or a flower pot. It would be like a shelf with only the front two shelf spaces open. Maybe to avoid floating objects if the block below isn't a full block you could have the window block have a wooden sill on the bottom so the items have something to sit on.
  15. I have only started one world in Vintage Story. Right around my spawn I found copper, bismuth, cassiterite, sphalerite, and iron. I'm also next to pine forests with probably a dozen resin trees nearby. As I've been exploring there are huge swaths of land with no ores to speak of. Other places there might be cassiterite, but you have to travel a kilometer to find copper instead of stumbling over it in the same mine. I'm scouting an area right now for a new satellite base farther south that has very poor to trace ores and was thinking I was glad I didn't spawn there. The only thing I haven't found that I would like is halite.
