So I guess they wanted to BE the campfire? They like crawling in my pit kiln and then they can't get out.

I've seen streamers and utoobers have difficulty killing a pen full of mixed generation chickens. For the future I suggest separating the offspring in a separate pen from the parents so that generational lines aren't as difficult to cull.

Or let the corpse despawn.

I implemented the Compostor mod but nerfed it from 500x speed down to a more reasonable 5. I may even further nerf it down to 2 or 3.

All them animals running into the water are trying to solve that problem. Hopefully they'll evolve into water based mammals sooner than later.

1 dough = 1 rot and spoils rather quickly. It's the most reliable way of creating compost in mass quantities that I have found. And I have been experimenting since 1.15 with various methods. Berries and meat rot faster, but produce lower quantities, variable amounts of rot and take longer to harvest. Vegetables produce larger quantities, take longer to spoil and also are more variable. Grain harvests produce an obscene amount of grain compared to other compostables.

Lovely, interesting or just plain bizarre landscapes

Love the smoke that is apparently coming from the trader's wagon. -
Wait. I re-read your comment and realized the last part is wrong. Left overs need to go back to hot bar and placed back into crates. I must have been tired or *ahem* something when I read your comment the first time. What I was trying to confirm is that you can have your crafting grid open, any number of chests (or firepits, cookpots, etc) open and then grab things from the crates to craft. Putting stuff back into crates? Nothing special there. My apologies for the confusion. I don't know what kind of shrooms my seraph smoked while reading your comment.

You don't make terra preta. It takes obscene amounts of compost to convert high fert soil into terra preta, for which flax dough is a wonderful vehicle. Sometime mix up your play and go for a long term goal, make a self-sustaining homestead that will last through multiple winters.

yes. You will respawn on the block your crosshair was aimed at when you consumed the temporal gear.

No joke. My very first world lasted less than 24 hours. That first night was pitch black and I learned my first lesson - 2 sticks, 1 flint and 2 grass is the MOST critical goal for the first day on every world.

@dakko Either OP is trolling or being less than honest. First spawn is ALWAYS in the morning on May 1. Every world I've generated since I started playing on 1.14.10 has been that way and there would have been other comments if it were a sporadic bug.

Yesterday I had more trouble with the very high rift activity BEFORE a heavy storm in which I slew not one but TWO double headed drifters, nekkid with only obsidian spears. Chewed through about 20 of my 32 reed poultices BEFORE the storm

Given the greater difficulty in forging a falx, the short sword should have slightly less capability. Probably 0.5 less damage dealt.

It is my belief that Blackguards and similar entities came about

As I think of those descriptors I would say that the fur coat should be more insulating than a warm robe - dramatically so; but that also depends on what one thinks the robe is made of. I'm thinking of my wife's fluffy bath robe that is certainly warm inside and capable of keeping the chill off in a run to the mailbox and back on a cold wintery day; but it ain't gonna keep her from freezing to death if she decides to dig a ditch in the middle of winter either. And a woolen shirt may not be nearly as effective as a fur coat if it is just a shirt made of thin wool rather than thick wool (which seems to be the case).

Set up a sand platform over a shallow cave mouth that will cause such a landslide that carries the seraph to the depths of the cave; doing so in an area that is highly unstable at the surface. Make sure the cave has many areas of two+ block height to make climbing out of the cave take longer. I'd use rusty gears for projectiles as temporal ones give benefit to the seraph to replenish their depleting stability.

Why doesn't alcohol provide satiation when your hunger bar is full?

I doubt it's a copyright thing as Lovecraft's works are in the public domain. Additionally, I haven't seen anything that would be plagiarism. -

@Thorfinn The homepage once indicated the game themes were inspired by Lovecraft. About 12-18 months ago (maybe more) it was changed to "eldritch" inspiration. -
Sigh. Looking for a reason to not start a new game...

I'm with @LadyWYT. Consider your current world a challenge by VS to beat you. Are you gonna rollover and voluntarily die or are you going to scratch and claw every inch of the way to win by achieving the progression goals you have (even if it's not in the time limit you set)? tl;dr stop whining and git good. -
General temporal stability shows how regional stability can be. I've seen very large unstable areas which would indicate incredibly localized possibilities as well. Jus' sayin'

My base is pretty well lit and there's not a lot of rifts that spawn. I can pretty much do things at night with impunity, unless I'm out by my tree farm. The night of the pic I posted those drifters were from a single rift at apocalyptic level activity. I think I had laid waste to 2 dozen or more drifters from a single rift over the course of about half a night. [edit] I swear if'n I ever see Jonas Falx in game I'm gonna be sure to put him to a very quick and irrevocable end. [/edit]
