  1. The one I have is a beautiful scene overlooking a broad plain in early autumn at sunset. Just a 3 more hours before I'm off work for the day and I'll post it.

  4. Simple HUD is a wildly popular one. I'm kinda surprised it isn't in your list already. Step Up not included? That's a huge QoL one that removes jumping for climbing over one block elevation changes Fancy Sky is another one that simply beautifies the sky in dazzling ways.
  5. Don't get me wrong, it is most satisfying watching the in-fighting of those disgusting critters. Just no point to cleaning up after them.
  6. Those warm weather clothes already exist in the form of the clothes on your back after choosing a class.
  7. For early game I go with reeds but once I have enough flax I advance to the ones that have linen for the better healing (4 hp instead of 2). And if you need more than 16 honey sulfur poultice's (7 hp per item, 112 hp in a stack of 16), then something's wrong with you.
  8. Considering that the alcoholic bandages dry out, and I assume lose the 7 hp healing rate; I haven't been inclined to go through the necessary steps to create aqua vitae for the bandages.
  9. Well, if we're going to make things more realistic, let's start with carrying capacity. Currently a seraph can carry over 1,920 cubic meters of dirt, sand, rock, etc. basically making them a walking freight train. Shouldn't we limit the ability to carry that high fertility soil to just 1 cubic meter for consideration of bulk and weight being realistic?
  10. With freezing, there's a remedy. What would the remedy be for overheating because adding this mechanic has downstream implications that have to be coded. One such mechanic is a thirst bar in addition to the hunger bar which has been mentioned multiple times in the past year alone.
  11. Harvesting drifters that kill other drifters is unlikely to result in much, if anything. I recently let a whole google of drifters kill each other. Out of 20 kills (some of them I killed) I netted precisely 1 flax fiber. I got 15 straight nothings in that hopelessness of harvesting.
  12. About the only thing I would think to do with alcohol is to make high tier bandages if I weren't able to find sulfur (which happens more often than not for me).
  13. That's one reason I like this game. Devs give you multiple ways to achieve the same goal. There isn't a single best option for everyone, it's what suits the individual's style.
  14. It all depends on the dev's vision of what crafting without the crafting grid looks like. It may incorporate a workbench, it might not. We'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, it seems that there are other things higher on the priority list, like story elements and other mechanics, like multi-block vehicles.

  16. The homepage has changed the reference from Lovecraft to eldritch, but having read Lovecraft I can definitely see the Lovecraftian influence in game.
  17. Good catch! Mushrooms are great early game, but when it comes time to start mass producing a stockpile of food they just aren't plentiful enough. BUT I do love seeing them appear in the forest as I'm running around, even when being chased by various neighborly critters that want to welcome me to their woodland home with a hearty handshake or hug.
  18. I have no problem with needing a temporal gear to reset spawn. This game is not easy, and a bed resetting spawn would be such a departure from the difficulty presented in the rest of this game. I think the current mechanic makes it a motivating factor to get that first temporal gear. Craft 6 flint spears and grind out some drifter kills. That's not hard given some flat terrain about 100 blocks in diameter.
  19. Tyron has already mentioned the second story event will be added. And the teasers of upcoming mobs should be disturbing. What happened to this world is quiet disturbing and I'd expect that there's some entities that should be exceedingly disturbing; especially considering the Lovecraft basis for the story theme. Try reading some Lovecraft sometime and see just how disturbing he gets.
  20. No worries. Goggle Translate does a good job. With a warm start you probably won't have to go too far. Probably just 5,000 to 10,000 blocks, maybe less. You may have accidently disabled or hidden your propick results. Propick results enabled Propick results disabled (not the white lettering) They cannot be cultivated... yet. But I recall seeing a mod a while back that provided mushroom cultivation. Welcome to the wondrous world of Harr... err Vintage Story. Enjoy your stay and feel free to rage quit to save your sanity.

  22. I keep forgetting that slabs are ONLY bottom slabs and cannot be placed in the top half of a block. So the whole 50% grade would require full path blocks to build. Might as well just craft a bunch of stair path blocks.
