  1. That trailer looks like Hytale has competition. If Simon manages to re-own the IP that is.
  2. And there goes all the complaints about wolves spawn camping at 10:00 am, May 1, year 0.
  3. Darn terf wars! Looks like the raccoons or foxes (maybe both) were trying to extend their territory. Nope. Lightning rod does. If it's placed high enough to cover the area below it.
  4. Welp. The secrets of cloning are lost.
  5. I'd be interested in what you find in seed -13. I had copious amounts of red clay near spawn and an absolutely obscene amount of high fertifility soil nor far to the southeast from spawn.
  6. I'd say the hippos are like bighorn sheep and get rather spicy about their personal space except the hippos tell dem sheeps, "hold my beer. Watch this!"
  7. This visual is exactly the rock strata changes for the single surface block seen in the color map. Rock strata kind of have a terrain feature of their own near a boundary (as seen in the screenshots) where the top rock strata thins out for the underlying rock strata. Go to those straight line borders and dig down a couple blocks into the rock strata and you'll like find the other rock strata not far below but gets deeper as you travel farther away from the border. It's been this way ever since I started playing in 1.14.
  8. Cool. Haven't heard of Maas, but loved the Do'Urden stories by Salvatore. The Crimson Shadow books by him was good too.
  9. Indeed. Mind you my comment is based on chapter 2 lore disclosures (while not disclosing anything specifically) and is highly speculative. Which means what the devs develop will likely be wildly different than what I dreamt up in the moments of reading your comment. And that is theoretically, imaginarily, hypothetically all.
  10. I too like the sense of a world rebuilding itself after an apocalyptic event (and here comes the but... spoilered because of story lore theory.
  11. What books inspired this... this... this oasis of creative beauty?
  12. good point. In fact, GREAT point. I'll correct my original comment. Thank you!
  13. Disclaimer: My comments are not intended for you alone. There are others who have preceded you. Now to my response... Not exactly. It's more an allergic reaction to the delivery of the criticism. Presenting one's opinion as fact is the primary offense. To then double down and blame the ensueing firestorm on the attitude of others rather than introspect is mildly toxic, can create another firestsorm and leads to a thread being locked for turning into a dumpster fire. In this particular case, the translating to/from Italian probably didn't help, either. How to criticize (although it's better to offer critique instead) something that people love? Be deferential. Be willing to accept that others point of view may be just as valid your own. Admit making a mistake when a mistake has been made, nobody's perfect and presenting oneself as perfect only shows a lack of maturity.
  14. Sleep? What is this thing you speak of? Is it some form of activity to waste time? If so, I have much too much to do to waste time on wasting time! That's why.
  15. Incentive to progress? This *ahem* feature is why I just use a primitive (wattle) fence gate to keep nasty beasties out of my primitive cave dwelling.
  16. Mind you I didn't say it wasn't an issue for me. Even worse than that straight line edge is a very definitive circular arc
  17. You weren't very clear describing exactly what about the screenshot was so alarming to you; leaving it to the interpretation of the reader to read your mind. Out of all the things that are janky with the game, this is one of the last ones on my list. Considering how long it's been since you first played the game I'd think you'd have noticed this particular thing hasn't changed that much. If at all.
  18. I'm pretty basic on the mechanical power. I hook up 4 rotors to a large gear at least 60 blocks above sea level for maximum power. Build my smithy as close to them as possible, usually build at the top of a mountain (every axle reduces power by a small amount). Drop a line of axles to another large axle where I split two off to power two helve hammers and use the other two for quern and pulverizer. Throw in some transmissions to turn various parts on and off.
  19. And VS is supposed to be easy?! I've found a very good use for gravel/sandy plains. Tree farms for my massive charcoal pit. It is much easier to make sure all the seeds are collected to replant the next batch of trees.
  20. Exactly! Those wide open expanses of sparse or no vegetation are totally unrealistic. It's not like the earth where there's no such things as the Gobi and Sahara deserts, or the United States southwest. Oh wait.
  21. I swear Herobrine immigrated! There's even proof somewhere on these here forums. ok. maybe I snuck into his world for a minute. But Herobrine helped!
  22. Gratz on surviving your first winter. Question - is that a certain obsidian ringed meme I see lurking in some of those shots?
  23. Ah yes. Lost those in all the other lore I obtained. Thank you for the correction!
  24. At the risk of going seriously off topic. Yes. FMA is not afraid of going after some very dark themes - genocide, WW2 german like tyranny, human experimentation. And it gets even darker as the story progresses. I love how FMA: Brotherhood ends though. We now return you to your regularly scheduled VS thread.
  25. That shiver makes me think of the poor chimera's from Fullmetal Alchemist. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/29/f7/22/29f722e7d43c255fbfe70c6ac103d88b.jpg
