  1. Hi Does anyone know a fast way to destroy ice/change it to normal water? Maybe some command in creative gamemode? I just hate having ice on my lakes in summer and throught the whole year, it's incredible unimmersive. I don't mind getting rid of ice by myself but... is there a faster way? For example in minecraft I could select the area and just replace ice to water, and I heard there is some kind of WorldEdit in VS too, can I get some help, please? ^^
  2. Amazing build! I love the vegetation work here, so atmospheric and fits the climate of desert oasis. It really inspires me to go to the far south and do something there myself ^^
  3. Oh, that looks interesting. I guess there's no tutorial for this, but I'll try to experiment with it, thanks!
  4. Would you mind sharing what "block" is it? I have the same problem as OP. Going just to my lower section of base suddenly stop the surface music to trigger some underground music for like 5-10 sec and when I go back to surface im left with no music at all
  5. Are you sure about that? In my current playthrough I locked a bear in 4x4 pit, he is locked here since the beginning of my world and I have already 60 hours into this save ^^ But I have to say the whole pit is fully open to the sky and I have a road near him so I "pay him a visit" every ~ 2 days
  6. I play modded Vintage Story and hunter bags are really useful for me In my playthrough linen has so many uses that it was only in the fall that I managed to make 4 linen sacks. So I could argue if linen sacks are too hard to make but on the other side, in vanilla they seem to be in a perfect place. Anyway reading through your comments and even through whole forum i'm really surprised the way most of you play VS. It seemed to me that Vintage Story, like Minecraft, is a very chill game, where the emphasis is on technological progress and survival, but also the same amount of time is spent on building a base and other not necessarily necessary structures. Yeah, I'm also feeling the pressure from incoming winter to stock up on food and gather enough resources to make warm clothes, but apart from that, I try to create cool projects in the same hurry as I develop technology or explore surroundings. Of course I'm not saying that your way of playing is bad, I'm just surprised by this rush where for many of you even hunter backpacks are irrelevant. Well maybe that's because for most of you this is more a survival game where for me it's a 50% "survival" and 50% building game ^^
  7. Aye, that looks good. Now do a cave somewhere in the volcano with flowing lava etc.

    Sturdy Stick

I think that this would be a great idea to make somewhat better tools but leave the standard recipe in place. So if you want to make a pickaxe or hammer fast then just go with regular stick but if you want to make something better (maybe you're low on that particular ore) then go with sturdy stick, maybe from sturdy stick create better handle? ^^
  9. Sorry for off topic I thought there is only one update per year Wish it was a bit more often but it is what it is, do you guys think there is a chance for more frequent updates? (I mean the big releases)
  10. Yeah, you guys are right but as I mentioned in the first post, I like to storage things outside of chests or even crates and I think Vintage Story is trying to accomplish that with it's various mechanics. It's really cool to see your stuff or building materials in real form placed somewhere in the world, not in tiny chest that should be damn sure too small for all the space it offers. You think more in stricte gameplay perspective when i'm thinking about immersive perspective. You can't tell me Vintage Story isn't trying to be immersive game Yeah, you're right, my bad, oops I'm playing in different language and my English is not that good. Anyway it just could be really cool to double the amount of boards you can pile, as 48 wooden boards in this game is sadly very little. And yes, I do have a special storage place for my wood, but still piling wooden boards is a problem. If we have the possibility to make piles of boards, why make it in terms of gameplay so unattractive :c
  11. Oh sh!et, you're right It's even bigger problem than i thought. 48 planks just for one stack :c Please devs, let us store more...
  12. I like to store things outside of chests and Vintage Story is very good at it... but not perfect. Wooden boards are used in so many things and in such quantities that storing them is a problem because 64 boards take full one block slot. 64 boards is really very little in VS. Maybe it could be stored like firewood, when two "firewood items" are stored as one firewood in "physical" world? So 128 boards would take only one block when it comes to storage. That would be a lot less painful Or is it an engine problem where storing 128 of something is too much?
  13. Sometimes the world gen just hit the spot
  14. Amazing idea with trapdoors ^^ I'm definitely gonna steal it for my world
  15. If anyone is looking for a temporary fix then in my case changing /time calendarspeedmul to default (0.5) before going to sleep fixed my problem. I just have to do it every time before bed and in the morning to revert the changes (it's faster than reloading the save ^^)
