Okay. I read into the second paragraph and abandoned reading anything else to assert my two cents. Temporal Storms make Vintage Story EXACTLY what it is by making the player aware of their surroundings and having to plan in accordance. Yes they are a pain in the ass. But we are talking about a world split between realities so danger is an element in itself. I don't understand why people try to avoid these things. Even on the server I play on the days are lengthened and months stretched longer. You can sleep through the storms. It takes away from the game. My opinion, take it or leave it. The vanilla game offers a thorough journey to excel through the ages and the storms and rifts are the hurdles to achieve the later fun in the game like the terminus teleport and the night vision goggles.

Right on all accounts! I cannot loot them however as the server I am on has the mod that auto loots mobs. I guess the Bowtorn ruffle my feathers though cause im always wearing plate and the cowards run. At least the Drifters stay and play. I absolutely do wait for them to disappear and now I do recall that they disintegrate when looted in my single player world. I just constantly play on the server so Ive forgotten a lot about the genius of the vanilla game.

Okay I'll admit that I didn't research this before posting so I am entirely unaware if someone else has already addressed this. But in all honesty it would seem that regardless of diligence and research someone will have two cents so here we go. It would be absolutely MARVELOUS if I could drag dead drifters and bowtorn out of my way while im building. It's incredible that I can use a falx to unalive them all but I am powerless to chop them up into manageable pieces for ease of removal. Aren't they already annoying enough with their auto-aim and nonstop guttural cacophony of Weekend at Bernies? Keep up the great work devs. Love the game. Even the annoying stoooooopid Bowtorn blowhards. XD

Yes it's certainly better than that. What you don't know is that im on my third elk and ive purchased other players theirs too. I really enjoy this game. I cannot stress that enough.

My apologies. Didnt think for a moment that I would cause duress. The server curator gave me creative controls to attempt to find my elk. I spawned in a tamed elk and put a medallion on his head and viola. I did NOT think this would work but true enough it did. Now im not sure if this classifies as a fix but I do have an elk again. Regarding the rest of it all, let the creature bare its teeth. Ive thick skin.

Im attempting all possible means to address this as it largely seems ignored or pushed aside. There should be a definitive means to find ones elk when the marker is there but the elk is not. It's not as simple as just buying another elk as the medallion mechanic keeps such simple fixes from occurring. (*Turns out I was wrong and this was the fix. Though I used creative controls to spawn in a tame elk and new medallion*) All hands on deck! This should be resolved but as I mentioned above I feel it's largely ignored. And ive even searched GitHub and the wiki and have come up empty handed several times.

Ive had a similar issue after leaving my elk at base and sailing for a few days in game. Im on a server. Ive tried the bone whistle in and around areas I had frequented with my elk. Sailed back to most of the points I stopped and got out of my boat. At a loss. And still no elk.
