I wish but no, the humidity setting just flatly reduces the humidity of the entire world. It would be nice if it was more like a bell curve where most of the world is desert but you can still rarely find high rain areas.

that or just grow grains and leave everything else unharvested until you actually want to eat it

It just simulates continuous w key input so it works for walking as well as boat use and elk riding. -

Also I just noticed that if you're using limestone sand you don't even have the option to use blue clay, you HAVE to use fireclay, making limestone daub one of the most flex building materials in the game

I mean yea cool and I've already found blue clay but that's all besides the point, the point is that why can I use red clay to craft most of the daubs but not the specific variant I was planning to use? The discrepancy just seems odd.

Why? Right as I'm ready to build with the new daub in my desert world it becomes 50x more expensive, need a mod that undoes this tweak

The wiki has an example mod that teaches you how to add simple items, using wands as an example: https://github.com/Nateonus/vsmodexamples/releases/tag/FirstRelease But no matter how many different ways I try I can't use this template to create new clothing items, and the only mods that add clothes are either too complex for what I need or don't have an example of the specific clothing slot I want to add items to, so I can't modify those mods to get what I want without making them unstable. I'm trying to add some simple custom necklace items I've already made 3d models for and are ready to go but I just can't get them into the game. Will there ever be more specific example mods to learn from?

Spawn is actually south of here. I doubt this effects the archive but I started in a hot region instead of temperate. -
