  1. Thank you for the explanation, Vintage seems to handle content in a... very unusual way I guess. That said, the solution there didn't work for me and I'm not sure why - my game kept freezing at the title screen with that option on.
  2. I like my install to be somewhat "portable" so I have easy access to the folders. So I just... I mean, it should work, right? edit: Even if I just run it through the command line, the game freezes after a few seconds even before I open any map. Be it the mod screen, the worlds screen... Sad.
  3. With mods, Vintage is running hungry on memory. Is that normal? Can I force it to run on vram somehow? I got me a 12gb video card and it seems to barely use it Specs: Kubuntu 22.04 (linux) Ryzen 7 5700G 16 GiB of RAM xfx 6750XT 12gb of vram
  4. Wow, ok, I need to check that. Is there any extra text to translate? Also, what? Slings? Also also, here's the last bit translated! "game:handhelp-trench": "Sulco", "block-furrowedland-*": "Sulco em terra arada", "item-blockage": "Resíduos estão causando um problema com a irrigação.", "ingameerror-debris": "Remova os resíduos primeiro!", "blockhelp-furrowedland-removedebris": "Remover resíduos"
  5. Correct, it's Brazilian Portuguese
  6. Is... is there anything new?
  7. Then do like other servers and make a "you need this pack for the server" and post it to the DB. You won't even need to touch it anytime soon since no one is updating it but eh, your choice.
  8. use. the. fix. There's still some buggy stuff like the mushroom substrate, but most of the content works. https://github.com/snakeriot/vs-wildfirming-fix
  9. I'll be posting inconsistencies I find in the en.json as I translate it, since it's A LOT MORE STUFF to translate. Line 60 item dried red apple named as "dried pink apple"
  10. Looking at the en.json lang file while doing the pt-br one, I noticed a few things: Line 183 ("recipeingredient-item-eggyolkfullportion-goldenpheasant-insturmentalcase") has an extra "g" at the start of its description. Line 189, 190 and 191 seem to have an extra space at the end of their description. That said, here's a pt-br.json translation file for ya, @l33tmaan. I'm working on the Expanded Foods one. Hope it works, I didn't test it yet. pt-br.json
  11. I ran into this once too. So just get bucket and transfer content to saucepan, right?
  12. Fully updated lang file! This one can probably count as a final release until someone points any error. I left some tutorial or page names untranslated in the particulator part for consistency. pt-br.json
  13. @Spear and Fang Just a mention that the ash grey hare (male) pelt name is missing "hare" in the en.json file. I do have to go through it all anyway, so I wanted to tell you for the next update So, Here's the PT-BR translation. It's not complete and might need some revisions here and there thanks to the absurd amount of North American terms that just can't be translated properly (are the firefly names actual species? I couldn't find info on them) or it's very endgame stuff, like the whole particulator section. Everything else is more-or-less translated with research and checking on the Crowdin VS page, so it's very accurate when it can be. By the way, what is necessary for the fish fillets and other meat introduced by this to show the name properly when making recipes? I wonder if Expanded Foods is blocking this from working or if it's missing something anyway. pt-br.json
  14. Seems like there's an incompatibility with Cullinary Artillery, someone mentioned in the mod's comments.
  15. That happened to me too. I found the recipe by looking up the files. Be warned you need alcohol to do it, so it won't be anything early. There's also the chance that the block has a botched texture that is crashing the game, because the fix doesn't handle something about block textures.
  16. Did you try Kosher's version? It's in the comments of the mod, not here in the forums. Edit: here's the link, just to make sure it doesn't disappear https://github.com/snakeriot/vs-wildfirming-fix
  17. @jakecool19 Are you still planning to work on the mods? Someone updated Wild Farming to somewhat work on 1.17.x (this was also pushed on your github to become a fix) but the Mushroom Substrate is crashing the game when being looked up in the handbook. While I was using a bunch of mods, I tried the bare minimum (wildcraft hoping that was compatible, vanilla items and this) and it still crashed the same nonetheless. https://pastebin.com/ewKHXe0E
  18. There are a few things that need improving, and I can see some comments on Crowdin about it now that I made an account and started checking the translation. The wiki is also barren, so if you're doing that too, good luck to ya.
  19. Man, everything here takes work, that's kind of the point of how the survival works here. It surely would be nice to find a way to make smoked meats, but there are only three types of meat in the game and fish were added like last week. We'd still need a special way of placing wood, hay and meat together in an enclosed area, maybe like a pit kiln. You still need to harvest at the very least wood and mess with the place the smoking pit has to go. Maaaybe when fish meat and fishing are added to the game, we could have smoked salmon eventually
  20. You just have to see the two biggest points here. DRM-free, and you do have to crack some eggs for the online to work. When you get past the online issues, there are literally no complaints to be had here.
  21. I can probably find out how to edit and add pages to the wiki eventually, but how can I help with the game's localization? I noticed very small errors here and there such as "empty crock" in which they're using the verb "to empty" (esvaziar) instead of the adjective/state "is empty" (vazio), and there might be some things with more common names than the ones being used. This part is opinion, I know, and maybe they're fine with such names because... Well, it's a medieval-themed game, old names kinda fit Still, I want to help, this game is good and hopefully I can learn more about it in the process.
