I've been liking the 30% landcover and 400% landcover scale. Still get descent sized lakes and the ocean can be found within a few days worth of travel.

@Hafthohlladung I think the lore story "The Morning" already addressed this. Wood and soil walls keep out Drifters on purpose.

Since books are about to become really important to the game, I'd like to suggest the bluebell flower be added. Historically, its sap has been used as a binding agent for both books and fletching for arrows, and it would be a nice decoration to add to pots and planters.

I do not think the drifters were human at any point. They don't have faces, just big gaping toothy maws. Their interiors are all metal as are their digits. Their exterior is made of flax, implying it was a manufactured automaton rather than starting as a sentient being. So, I think they might've been golems, invented by Jonas when he was doing his mad scramble to save his people from the Rotpocalypse. And of course he notices early when those golems turned violent with the implication that they'd started killing some people.

Started a new world for funsies and came across this stunning mountain range right next to a large lake!

This mountain range is near my base, and as much as I would like to build there, it's not temporally stable T_T

The villa got some lights

I watched a bear drown itself in the dumbest way possible yesterday. Kept swimming toward shore and then when it would get close enough to be in one block water depth, turn around and head back out to deeper water so it could keep drowning. Took two irl minutes for it to die and it kept making the stupidest, most harmful choices. Didn't need to draw my bow at all.

Maybe some plants for your solarium? Potted flowers and trees?
