Maelstrom Posted November 16, 2022 Report Posted November 16, 2022 (edited) Pretty much as the title says, post what you think is a cool landscape screenshot here. Thought it might be good to have a single thread for landscape screenshots. Love how that central waterfall snakes down the mountain. Edited November 22, 2022 by Maelstrom grammars 8 1
BigBadBeef Posted December 19, 2022 Report Posted December 19, 2022 I'll take your corny mountains, match them and then set the scenery to spring. Then I'll raise your bet with a pretty amazing sunset with god rays and a plateau. 4 2 2
Nymue Posted December 26, 2022 Report Posted December 26, 2022 This mountain range is near my base, and as much as I would like to build there, it's not temporally stable T_T 5 4 1
Maelstrom Posted December 27, 2022 Author Report Posted December 27, 2022 That bauxite and andesite combo is beautiful! 1
Nif Posted December 30, 2022 Report Posted December 30, 2022 My first house ever in Vs, God i love this game 13 1
Nymue Posted January 2, 2023 Report Posted January 2, 2023 Started a new world for funsies and came across this stunning mountain range right next to a large lake! 4 1
Maelstrom Posted January 22, 2023 Author Report Posted January 22, 2023 Just LOVE the lake generation. :) 6 10
Garjouan Posted March 4, 2023 Report Posted March 4, 2023 Unfortunately the screenshot is kinda bad bu tI stumbled upon this serene valley with a ruined bridge in in. I hope that counts as landscape. 4
Maelstrom Posted May 19, 2023 Author Report Posted May 19, 2023 Hmmmm.... Gateway to Cthulhu perhaps? 1 3
DonZekane Posted May 31, 2023 Report Posted May 31, 2023 Found myself in the confines of an U-shaped sort of mountain. Wanted to take residence there but the wolves were just too much and too close for comfort. 8
Thorfinn Posted June 24, 2023 Report Posted June 24, 2023 (edited) Don't know what to caption this. "Does a bear sh** ON the woods?" "A lovely view of Bear Butt(e)"? "Close encounters with a bear butt"? What in the heck is he doing up there? On a more serious note, maybe that's where some of the ones I never see are coming from. The first few days, I'm far more interested in what is on the ground than what is in the trees... [EDIT] Reminds me of that Monty Python skit where the sheep are in the trees. Thorfinn Posted June 24, 2023 Report Posted June 24, 2023 In case you are having a hard time seeing it... 3
Owktree Posted July 30, 2023 Report Posted July 30, 2023 World likes having mountains or ridge with huge lake undercuts. Have even found one where the undercut extends completely through the mountain range. Often seems to be a peridotite layer that has been eroded in most cases. 4 1 2
Maelstrom Posted July 31, 2023 Author Report Posted July 31, 2023 At least you have bauxite for the steel making. =D
Owktree Posted July 31, 2023 Report Posted July 31, 2023 Speaking of Bear Butte. Just northwest of my main base. Peak of four up there at once. I think it's back down to one currently. 2 1 2
Wildy Force Posted September 11, 2023 Report Posted September 11, 2023 What’s a grizzly bear’s favorite law? The right to bear arms. 3 1
Coding Berry Posted September 11, 2023 Report Posted September 11, 2023 I caught a bear scout scoping the area in a nearby mountain 1 3
Wildy Force Posted September 13, 2023 Report Posted September 13, 2023 Oh, bear-y interesting! Did he have a map and a compass, or was he just winging it with his bear instincts?" 1
Maelstrom Posted March 12, 2024 Author Report Posted March 12, 2024 Looks like it's gonna be a loooong night of the Drifter Boys serenading me. There's another one on the other side of the building on the right. 1 1 1
Maelstrom Posted March 12, 2024 Author Report Posted March 12, 2024 That's a very... interesting transition between rock strata. Notice the peridotite in the lower left of the granite area. I've seen a couple of these unnaturally circular transitions. 1
mors2657 Posted May 31, 2024 Report Posted May 31, 2024 a couple of screenshots i took because the game sometimes leaves me in awe with its beauty 6
BeardGoblin Posted June 9, 2024 Report Posted June 9, 2024 Winter sunset. It's been a long November day, but the pig hunt was eventually successful. 2
