I don't see it when you hover over the world in the world selection screen There is a pencil symbol to the right of the world's name on the selection screen. Click on that and it shows the seed. There is also an option to copy the entire configuration for that world ("playstyle") that can be pasted into a new world configuration without having to select each and every item. It changes the frequency of rain as far as I understand it. 1 hour ago, Hiro Protagonist said: 934136834 You spawn into Bauxite and granite, which is not exactly a good combination. The surrounding rock types are other igneous rocks with some shale and claystone sprinkled in. Limestone is not in your future. If you want to play this seed you would have to get bronze and hunt down borax to make leather. Claystone is nearby which is where I usually find borax so that path is possible. That is the beauty of VS, there is another path. Sometimes you have to ignore what everyone else is doing. Just like when you are trying to find bronze you may end up with bismuth bronze instead of tin bronze because that is what the seed gives you. I didn't hunt down borax but it is there somewhere in the claystone region. 1

All I've seen so far is granite, shale, and some basalt. You are going to need to find borax as well if limestone is not available.
Hiro Protagonist Posted 12 hours ago Report Posted 12 hours ago Thank you very much for this. I'm also sorry to have hi-jacked this thread. I've started a new world and it's showing me the things I was missing in that world almost immediately. It does make me wonder what it's going to make me work for. Thanks all for the knowledge and time 1
Thorfinn Posted 10 hours ago Report Posted 10 hours ago I'd add that you don't really need leather. The game at present can be completed with gambeson or less, and leather backpacks only add 4 inventory spaces over linen sacks.
Hiro Protagonist Posted 3 hours ago Report Posted 3 hours ago I play bows in that other game and planned to do so here. I might get lucky with a trader though.
