Mang Wangler Posted July 31, 2023 Report Posted July 31, 2023 I can not find any information about the termites on a stick item, but it exists in the guide. Even searching google with "Termites on a stick" and "Vintage story" only gives me https://wiki.vintagestory.at/index.php?title=File:Insect_items.gif. Im too high class to eat bugs with my hands. 1
Maelstrom Posted July 31, 2023 Report Posted July 31, 2023 I think you combine the two items in the crafting grid.

Streetwind Posted August 1, 2023 Report Posted August 1, 2023 It's possible that it's supposed to work like that (click the mounds with a stick) but it was never fully implemented?
BrownishStorm Posted September 23, 2024 Report Posted September 23, 2024 I'm thinking it should be a renewable source of protein in large desert biomes. I am guessing that was the Idea. I do hope they finish implementing it.
Grummsh Posted September 23, 2024 Report Posted September 23, 2024 Dont know about the stick but in 1.20 patchnotes there is a line saying termite mounds wont break but instead become dormant or something and repopulate (so you can get another batch of termites) within a year. Maybe they will still implement the termite on a stick in the future who knows - like grilled termite skewers or something

This is correct. Original plan was to require you to use a stick to get termites out. But it went the standard drops-when-broke route for expediency. Maybe someday the stick method might get implemented. 2 2
