Left Handed Seraphs

Finally got my SO into this game and she's left handed, in a game as immersive as this it'd be really nice to be able to visually swap your main hand around, so your hotbar item is in the left hand and your "offhand" is the right.

I don't think it'd need to be anything mechanical other than swapping the FPP model. It'd be super cool to see this reflected in third person, but it's mainly the first person perspective for our left handed players themselves I would assume is feasible and hope for.

@Mallia @lil I mean Minecraft has this features, so pretty sure it can be done in Vintage Story.

Swap your main hand around is clear. Silly idea, what about the swaping the hotbar?

I am also a southpaw, but it actually doesn't bother me. I have long ago adapted to this right-handed world.

I'd support it seeing how there are people who want it.

I too would like a left-handed position
I'm ambidextrous, so it's not as important to me as it would be for a true left hander, but it's still nice to use the left handed options in games .

this sounds fun but only because I could play as Link from Legend of Zelda and HIYA and KEEYAAAAA my way around the drifters.

TLOZ is my favorite gaming franchise of all time!!

I am also in favor of implementing this sort of visual support for our left-handed brothers and sisters!

I wonder if after flipping the horizontal axis for the characters if the existing animations would play just fine being mirrored. I really hope this topic get more attention so the devs actually consider. I know were only 10% of the population but with all of the cool customizations being added in the upcoming version Hopefully we can see a lefty toggle soon too.

Lol the old Link that is, Nintendo made link right-handed in Breath of the wild and Tears of the kingdom. Well at least we still have Chrono and Megaman

this is getting off topic, but I just wanna say that there were also some Wii ports of games that were entirely MIRRORED because Nintendo knew that the majority of their players would be right-handed. My sister (also a lefty) was soooo disappointed when she tried to play the game because Link was suddenly right-handed.

I don't think its off topic really. I always thought it was odd because the could've (should've) offered the option to make link right-handed for right-handed players it doesn't have to be a binary choice when we can have both, and VS can do good by us lefties by adding an option to make the seraphs left handed.

I too would greatly appreciate this being added as very few games allow for this (I can only think of Minecraft and TF2 off the top of my head) and it really bothers me in games that lack it.

I never really pay that much attention in most games, but as a member of the master race I agree that the lesser people should be able to vicariously experience being one of us.

Out of curiosity, how many of us consider ourselves ambidextrous? I feel I pretty much grew to be out of necessity, but then when I was young the only thing I remember made for us were scissors. You could have custom rifles made left-handed for a fee, but it was just easier to learn to shoot RH. That old M1 Garand was my favorite.

I was just about Posting it.. YES for me as a Left handed Person it would be sooo much aprecciated to have that Feature in the Game. I know theres not that much of Left Handed People out there but its a truly kind gesture that some Games has it.  I would love to see this here too

I want the bow to be made right handed (meaning you hold your offhand item and bow in the same hand, which means the OH item doesn't obstruct your vision when pulling the string), and then an option to just make everything flipped to be left handed. +1 for this idea.

tossing my hat into the ring for this one too. it would (probably, idk how reliant the game is on being righthanded for its anims) be a simple little visual tweak, and a nice little bit of inclusivity for the southpaw vintarians
