It would be cool if you could burn down forests and brush to improve the nutrients of farmlands.

Would certainly be an interesting alternative to composting, or a method to utilize while turning compost into terra preta. You'd need a good way to contain the fire in a certain area though, otherwise you're going to end up burning down a lot more than you intend to.

It would be a form of fertilizer like potash, a one-time bonus; and of course the dirt underneath is low-fertility so it turns back to crap after maybe one or two crops. And who knows how many bees and berry bushes you just destroyed? I love it.

It wont improve anything but its already very easy to burn a forest or brushland

I'm actually not even sure how you would set fire to anything other than a firepit.
