Do we have a date or estimate to when 1.22 will be released on a stable build?

Based on how things have gone in the past the official release will probably, but not definitely, happen in the next couple weeks. You can always download an unstable version and start a new world just to get a feel for the new mechanics, and potentially keep that world on the final release if nothing really major changes with world generation. That's what I and many others are doing. 1

Looks like about 6 weeks which is historically typical for this game. 1.19 was also about 6 weeks from first rc to first stable release. 1.20 is an extreme outlier as the dev team had to pivot to address performance due to a 300% increase in sales, so we won't talk about Bruno. Given the game's release history I'd expect a stable version to be out in five weeks; around mid-April. 1 1

Glad someone actually did their research!

It's great to see the pre drop and read all the detailed updates, but then wait weeks for the rc's to start dropping. I appreciate that Tyron and Co. take their time to get it down well, but the anticipation is hell. 3

They said it would be when the first 1.22 rc was out, but they still haven't reset TOPS. I assume this was because of some of the bugs with the first rc version. But now that those are resolved, I'm just waiting. I know it is close, but the days keep on passing by, it truly is hell for me right now...
