quicksilvr Posted March 30 Report Posted March 30 Still having weird quicks with milking on my game. Buckets vanishing (they also did this when taking wine from a barrel), being unable to milk a lactating ewe. It won't even initiate the sound of milking now unless I cycle click on and off otherwise I just extend my hand out like I'm going to place the bucket on the ground. They also don't stand still like they've been doing with every previous game patch after you initiate the milking (I know it isn't right away, but after a while the ewe's stop running around when you milk them). I'm very happy with the way farming and berry production has gone with the latest RC. 3

I also found https://www.vintagestory.at/support/ as a link from the download page and submitted there. I can add an issue to GitHub to. I'll see if the support request is better for them, then fall back to that. Thanks. I think that link you found is more for forum support. They only accept bug reports through the official trackers now.
john_p Posted Tuesday at 03:24 PM Report Posted Tuesday at 03:24 PM I like the farming change. Bigger farms means more exploring for wild crops, initially. Berry bush traits? I don't get it. Unless there's plans to expand on it and cross-traits or something, having a crappy berry bush is better than having no bush at all. So, just get cuttings from everything. Fishing is crazy good. If I were down to bushmeat for food or red meat if I were lucky. Starving pains as I run to the large body of water and start grunting. If there's an ocean, the fish are just impossible to deplete because of the shoreline. My favorite? Spears. I finally get a steel spear! Now I can- oh it disappeared. Now I have to stand perfectly still and open inventory to fix it while enemies assault me from all angles. Cool.

It really just means bigger fields...I'm actually not thrilled with this, since one of the things I liked about VS was that you just needed a garden, instead of commercial-scale farming. 1
Hiro Protagonist Posted Thursday at 11:51 PM Report Posted Thursday at 11:51 PM New here, so forgive me if my question is in bad form, but Is there an ETA as to when 1.22 would be the stable version? I ask because I'll want to restart when it does. Are we talking days, weeks, months? Longer?

The more bugs that can be swatted without introducing new issues, the sooner stable will arrive. Otherwise, no one really knows, outside of maybe the devs. It'll be ready when it's ready. 1
EnbyKaiju Posted Friday at 01:52 AM Report Posted Friday at 01:52 AM My rusty gears are on sooner rather than later. We saw a ramp-up of RC updates over the last couple of weeks, hammering out more and more bugs, which then have suddenly stopped. So my thinking, based on how the devs have handled these before, is that either they are about to drop the stable update (say within the next few days), and spend the next couple of weeks patching little bugs, or they finally have everything they want in and are spending some extra time on balances. Which would maybe give us one more RC update before the final one. That's just me making a guess based on previous update cycles. I would say we're within a week or two of a full update. Either way, I hope the devs know we want the best for the game and the best for them, so I hope they aren't crunching or pushing themselves too hard. We VS folks are in it for the long game 6

Yeah, I'm personally not a fan of the change either. You have to start making a bigger farm whereas I always like to stay small and somewhat realistic for one person.

CamillaFrost Posted Friday at 06:31 PM Report Posted Friday at 06:31 PM I'm not sure if it's a bug or not, but I haven't been able to catch anything with stink bait. Regular worms work fine, but for some reason nothing ever bites with stink bait. Am I missing something? Do these only work under certain conditions? 3
