So the issue im coming across is that One plot with cabbage and 4 plots of peanuts are at stage one, consuming no nutrients and have actual freshwater not saltwater near them. They lose moisture even though they are right next to a water block. They do not consume no nutrients whatsoever. Its only those 5 blocks all being on the edge of the farm. All of the others are perfectly fine and growing. I planted these I wanna say June 20 or something near there. I dont know if its a bug or just user error lol. Any help would be appreciated so it doesnt happen again in the future. Extra information that may help. Temps are in the right range and we live 20,000 blocks due south. We have rain almost all the time and the area we settled is very temperate. Oceans are far from us

Given it's now July 2, it's not been very much time since you've planted those crops--either a couple of days to about two weeks. Do keep in mind that crop growth times scale with the month length, so if you make the months longer then crops will also take more time to grow. That is, a turnip will take nine days by default to mature, since that is how long the months are on default settings, but if you increase the month length to thirty then turnips will take thirty days to mature.

I believe nutrients are only consumed when the crop advances a growth stage. The first thing I would check is crop growth times, since cabbage grows a bit slowly compared to other vegetable crops. It might be that everything else has a much faster growth time and the cabbage hasn't had enough time to actually grow yet. However, it also looks rather dark in that corner of the farm for some reason. Make sure that the farm is getting enough sunlight, as I don't think crops will grow if the area is too shaded(unless underground farming is turned on).

I would agree with You but the rest of the cabbages are way ahead of that sole one they are three levels ahead and the 4 peanuts that I mention are all saying over 500 plus hours to hit the next stage while the ones at stage two are only saying 120-150ish hours if Im correct. So I just dont know if that one little section on the edge is bugging out or what. I do know that it takes longer on the longer months. I just dont know why that small section says they wont grow unless many days pass for one stage and others do fine

i can't tell from the map, but is there any branchy leaves above it from a nearby tree, or any kind of blockage in the sky? I had similar problems when a crop's access to the sky was blocked.

If i remember correctly the block next to water gets standard 75% moisure. So if you have 100% or 90% it will slowly fallback to 75%.

Personally I would like if same crops would be more/less effected to the moisture levels. Like for same crops you need to build dense channels, for others you don't gain much from it.

Especially for grains usually you want to harvest it at more dry state.

I didnt think the redwood tree could be blocking the sky access from way up high, I scaled it and cut the leaves and some wood branches off. Ill keep You updated on it. I just dont know why the water moisture level is draining rapidly even though its next to a water block lol.

They just do that. Even in wetter areas we still end up having to water our crops every so often to keep them growing at 100% growth rate. You could plant your garden next to a pond and it would still need to be watered.

i hope this solved your problem! i think without cave farming enabled, farmland gets severe penalties if any kind of block interrupts sky access, including moisture for some reason. the corner of a roof was built on a single corner of my farm once, and that block was always at 0% moisture, despite having proper water next to it.
