Trex_Crazy Posted Wednesday at 09:48 PM Report Posted Wednesday at 09:48 PM So for the most part after my initial traumatic experiences with temporal storms I usually just hid in a hole and cooked or something while I waited for them to go away. But recently I realized that early game you can store everything valuable, make a ton of flint spears and hunt a tier 6 enemy and just get a ton of money from them. Granted youll die a lot and you'll only kill 1 maybe 2 tier 6 enemies but thats still a lot of rusty gears. 1

For new players, hiding is still probably the better option, since it's relatively safe and dying multiple times in a row can easily prove frustrating. For more confident or experienced players though, it's not a bad idea to make a plan and tackle the early storms, especially since rusty gears are more valuable early in the game since they can be used to buy all sorts of useful things. The general kit I've been using is bronze lamellar armor with some kind of falx. Copper lamellar isn't as good, but would probably still be decent if bronze is proving to be a bit of a struggle to acquire. The falx is a must due to the auto-loot feature; you may not have time to manually loot the corpses. Aside from that, the key is to be good at kiting monsters, practice good situational awareness, and retreat to safety as needed to heal.
HalfAxd Posted 20 hours ago Report Posted 20 hours ago I will sometimes build kill zones inside my home (a fenced in area by a door) and let a few baddies in at a time to throw spears at from behind a pillar of dirt. It's not elaborate like the kill boxes some folks make, but it reduces the number of times I die hunting in a storm. Enjoy!
