Tropix Posted 18 hours ago Report Posted 18 hours ago To put it simply, for the first idea i would love if we could make and cook pizzas in Vintage Story. I heavily enjoy the cooking aspects of the game and who doesnt love pizza it would be a great time for everyone. For pizza of course we would need tomatos, once farmed i imagine they would be pressed in the fruitpress into tomato juice, perhaps then the tomato juice is mixed in a barrel with salt to produce puree. (Just incorporating already in game mechanics i apologise to any chefs out there) The same way we prepare pies with the dough on a table, you would then add the puree and the pizza base would be produced then u add cheese and then any other toppings veg, meat or even fruit if your funky like that. Then it would be cooked in a fireclay oven once again similar to pies. pizza makes everything better, when your sad - pizza. when your happy - pizza, when your midway through a temporal storm and your entire garden is coated with drifters guess what pizza. You know what as great as pizza. Tea. Tea would be a great addition into vintage story, ofc starting as the tea plant and leading on with the tea making process, this could give a temperature boost during the winter times etc. We could add honey to the tea and other toppings just to add slight saturation effect or maybe even a slight healing effect. Anyway long story short tea pizza yum 1 1
Steen45 Posted 7 hours ago Report Posted 7 hours ago I would love to see crops like tomatoes or beans which would have multiple harvests, acting like a temporary berry bush.
CyberCat05 Posted 6 hours ago Report Posted 6 hours ago Tomato Sauce could be made by just cooking tomatoes in a pot. Tomatoes naturally fall apart when cooked for long enough even if you cook them whole. And traditional marinara sauce is not pureed anyway, it fits the game's aesthetic way better. (It's also quite good, the tomato bits get browned and caramelized even if I'm not a fan of the texture). I'm also a fan of more Cheese types being added even if they wouldn't have any use. I think instead of just adding a recipe tree for Pizza, since it's such a specific dish, Pizza should be just one of the many possibilities you could make in an eventual more complex, modular cooking system. Like you can take leavened dough and place it on the table and choose to flatten it and put sauce and cheese on it, but that's just one of the limitless other things you could do with it.

I suppose as pizza is extremely modular itself considering the toppings to there would be no need to make the process any more difficult.
