Yeah, but, if you look back the last couple of pages, we're just being silly with each other until someone comes in ranting about maltiez again so we can measure how much of the dead horse is left. So far like 3 bones and some glue. Care for a sniff? I promise I didn't put any cheese in it.

The horse in question:

I'm very glad this remains an important and cohesive point of reference for anyone coming into this drama without the full context or information and not a rambling discord channel meant to obscure and push past the issue artificially with dismissal and mockery.

but that's not what we're doing. If you look back every new post is basically more of the same but with different misinformation. It's a dead horse at this point.

It's not a dead horse to new people entering the discussion. The point of this all being sequestered into one thread was for it to be a single collection someone could browse to get the context of both sides of the argument, and to discuss or vent their frustrations themselves. Things have slowed down as time has gone on, but that doesn't mean that new people aren't trying to gain more meaningful context or vent frustrations hoping for more meaningful perspective not isolated to Reddit's particularly polarizing nature and Discord's worthless archiving.

I hear what you're saying, but I want to challenge it with this thought:

How many of the new people joining the fray can you honestly say read the thread before dropping their 2 cents in and starting another argument? It's already happened at least once in a different thread.

Basically the horse might not even be dead if people took the 2 minutes to see if someone else already said the same thing as them instead of starting another, inaccurate argument.

Of all the games, why does Vintage Story have a bunch of hateful corporate bootlickers to protect a "poor innocent" malware developer? Go back to reddit and discord if you want to be a snarky jerk!

Bottom line, the guy broke multiple rules (and laws) while bragging about it. It's simply a bad look on the company that can (and has) hurt sales.

I would encourage you to read through this whole thread, there is a lot of good information in here on what happened.

Right now you seem to be doing exactly what @Teh Pizza Lady was referring to above, especially with your chosen use of language.

If you could please list down your concerns in a bulleted list format so that these can be addressed individually, if you would like to add to hopefully a productive conversation.

Welp the horse is gone now. I must resort to beating my head into my desk repeatedly. Maybe I'll come up with a new pizza topping that doesn't involve pineapples this time.

This might sound crazy, but tuna fish and extra cheese is a great combination. The kind of tuna you would put on a tuna salad sandwich.

Welcome to the forums.

There is nothing left of the Dead Horse.

Enjoy.

You're quoting "poor innocent" people who never said what you say they said so you can get mad at your made up quote that nobody said. You're also somehow inventing a big corpo story out of 22 people arranged in the rough shape of a game studio?

Their sales and their alleged legal issues are not our problem. They have already been reported to the cyberpolice by people who later went on to repent for their sins against Anego. Forgiveness awaits you, too, if you can accept it.

Alfredo Sauce (cause red sauce just got boring) Sausage Pineapple Jalapeno

Alfredo Sauce Chicken Bacon Jalapeno Pineapple

Sure. The difference is... emotion. Either way, you still have a flat tire to deal with. I'd actually feel better about the friend doing it, because all I have to do is run the air compressor and change the locks. I don't have to put on the spare and go to the tire place to get it fixed.

I think that's been the pretty consistent take. I prefer to leave the emotion out of it, you don't.

If it helps, think of it as not just a flat tire, but someone put you in a wheelchair for life. Does it really make any difference if he intended to do it? Does the paralysis end earlier one way or the other?

It's also the legality? Are you nuts? Where there's malice, there's criminality.

Also, I'm sorry, but if you're saying a trusted party exploiting that trust to do something malicious to you isn't worse and deserving of your trust in the party being lost, you've got the self-preservation instinct of a hamburger.

Dang it's been a while since I've had a good one. Maybe I should get a third job so I can afford some beef before it gets too cold for grilling.

Or befriend a farmer.

I've been part of a local herdshare for the past 11 years. One of the best decisions I've ever done, all the fresh milk and meat I've ever needed. 10/10, would recommend.

OH man. Sourdough pizza crust with Kiefer from fresh milk?

Sure!

But you're talking about grinding and seasoning your own sausages and all kinds of fun stuff like growing an herb garden.

Then sue. Tell us when you lose the case.

The trusted party was a modder who was later hired and informed Anego of his prior actions. Your trust in 3rd party developers over the actual person/people responsible for this game is astounding.

I guess you can report your drug dealer to the authorities for selling you bad bud with zero legal repercussions lol.

All the more reason not to treat them like a joke or turn your nose up at them for not sifting through 42 pages of discussion, especially when the last three are littered with mockery.
