Can't make breaded fish nuggets of breaded nuggets of cured meat.

Also crash when adding fat and water into a saucepan on a fire pit.

I'm aware of breaded balls being uncraftable for now. I don't know WHY it started doing that for this recipe out of nowhere, but I'll correct it.

As for the boiling crash that people report... I am having a very hard time understanding why this is happening. In my test world it always works. When I make a new world it sometimes works. Sometimes if I leave a world and come back I can no longer boil anything. In ALL scenarios, when I return to my original test world everything works fine.

😭

No. What does that mean, exactly?

It mean, what mod's behaviour sometimes depends on "was world loaded right after game was loaded or after unload previous world". I dunno why, but this "chain" really "works": load game -> load world (one mod behaviour) -> unload world -> load same or other world (mod have other behaviour with some BROKEN parts) -> unload world -> close game -> go to start of chain.

Also minor thing, how do you crack eggs fully? I will crack whites into one bowl and my arm will be stuck in the cracking animation until i crack yolk into another and then have to mix the two in a saucepan.

I also have immersive crafting, so maybe there is a conflict?

I have no idea how immersive crafting works, so I can't say. CTRL + SHIFT will fully crack the  egg, though. There SHOULD be a tooltip that says so when you first equip an egg.

Funny thing, i put a cauldron outside and was able to boil fat that way. I just stay away from my dreaded indoor saucepan. Ill try breaking the fire pit and rebuilding it to see if it repeats.

That's not funny. 😭

Bug report: Herbal dough does not allow use as a pie crust for me. I can make herbal dough, I can bake it into herbal bread, I can even place it on a table to form a crust and fill it with pie fillings, however, upon picking up the pie, the dough and contents are returned to my inventory, or sometimes a container inventory they had recently been in prior to grabbing for pie filling, instead of a raw pie. I've done this multiple times to verify and the same thing always happens.

Thanks for all your hard work on an amazing mod, btw, the cooking mechanics are one of my favorite things about this game and expanded foods adds so much to them!

Edit to add: I am using the most recent release, 1.6.0, on VS 1.17.4. At the time of the last occurrence of the bug, I had A Culinary Artillery 1.0.4. I'm about to update the latter to 1.0.5, and can verify whether that fixes the bug or not, but I doubt it will since herbal crusts are from Expanded Foods specifically, right?

  • l33tmaan changed the title to Expanded Foods 1.6.1

Updated to 1.6.1!

  • Liquid eggs can be used in scrambled egg recipe
  • Breadedball & Acornbreadedball kneading recipe fixed
  • Text fixed
  • Fish broth can actually be made
  • Grid recipes using oil/lard revised
  • Water & brine boil to salt at 100 degrees
  • Sausage and meat dry instead of cure; timer adjusted so it should take about 2 days to dry out in ideal situations
  • Vinegar is a vanilla item; EF now patches it instead of overwriting it
  • Fish sauce moved from game domain to EF domain (includes remap); spoil time nerfed

Bug Report: Tried Restarting my server after the patch but there are still some ongoing issues.
I dont know if the problem is from this side or from (Wildcraft/Primitive Survival) Getting info about that would be helpful 😄
image.thumb.png.f9cb683912de09f79c30e1296586e4ed.pngimage.thumb.png.b80d3c214bba4c7d78981b30ee150b4b.pngimage.thumb.png.a1c4be38333a277e397b6b0759b88705.pngimage.thumb.png.2c62b8b0a63e5037806edbbac3e761d1.png
Also, just so I dont double post(unless is more helpful posting it on that side of the forum), There is also that huge issue with "Culinary Artillery" doing a critical Error crash Whenever more than 1 Ingredient is added to the Large Caldron.

image.thumb.png.018a17eecaef0a7f7976b595ef451e34.png
Also also, Sorry for troubling you with more issues, but since your mod enables the cooking/boiling of water into salt would you know anything about it enabling it to also smelt water on a crucible(potencial bug) ? since I dont own any mod that does it and it shows in the Crafting book, which results in insta crash if you mouse over the end product when the water boils in the crucible(even worse if you pick it up).

I overlooked the miner's lettuce issue in the last update, I'll fix it for 1.6.2.

As for the cauldron bug, I'm still trying to pin the issue down but it's inconsistent on my end. I might need to ask for help. But could you (and everyone else) post that issue in the ACA thread? Technically it isn't Expanded Foods' fault (I think). It'd be nice to keep things organized.

Water in the crucible sounds like an xSkills thing to me. I don't have anything to do with that, aside from patching waterportion.json to add some combustibleProps.

Sorry for the bombardment :)

Found that dumplings can be crafted without a filling, and also don't accept fillings.

Fully cracking an egg still gives a cracked egg in hand.

image.png.3377fb39bc56a2028f46f9fa7ddd4a51.png

Dumplings are fine on my end.
But the eggs are not. Why are the eggs not. I tested this a bunch. 😭

EDIT: I have gained a greater understanding of the eggs. I think I fixed it.

Bug Report: Hey, sorry if this is a repeat problem/ my end, my game crashes when I crack an egg into a bucket/barrel (fully cracked/half and might happen with all liquid containers). I use immersive first-person mode if that makes any difference and hear the cracking noise right before it crashes. If you need any more information I'll try to provide it. Thanks.

Hi there :) Posting a bug report, game crashed when I tried to make lard. Had the sauce pan on a firepit with 0.2L water, and as soon as I put the fat in the pot it crashed.

This might be fixed in the newest version of A Culinary Artillery

Bug Report: Hey, sorry if this is a repeat problem/ my end, my game crashes when I crack an egg into a bucket/barrel (fully cracked/half and might happen with all liquid containers). I use immersive first-person mode if that makes any difference and hear the cracking noise right before it crashes. If you need any more information I'll try to provide it. Thanks.

Wow. My egg-cracking looks so good in immersive first person mode. A shame it's working fine on my end...

I'm still getting the crash from the saucepan and both cauldrons any time a second item is added. I have the most updated versions of both (1.17.3 of the game). Happens both in single player and multiplayer on a server.

If you're not getting it at all in testing, is it possible there's another mod you have which is fixing it somehow? If you install a clean copy of VS in a separate folder and add only Culinary Artillery and Expanded Foods, maybe it will happen then?

(By the way, in case you're not aware, the nutrition calculations for eggs seem to be off. I'm getting 4000 protein saturation from one egg in soft bread.)

Presumably you have the error log already but just in case, what I'm getting is:
