Chromite also requires Steel to crush, so you won't be able to use it quite yet It's Ilmenite (Titanium) that's used in Tier 3 Refractory bricks, not Chromite. That also requires a Steel pickaxe and Steel Pounder Caps to process. Yes I actually wasn't sure myself, but I loaded up a creative world and made a furnace with all three brick blocks, all three grate types, and (this one I've already done before in survival) all 4 coffin types, and it's processing right now I'm under the impression they don't break down on a beehive kiln, but I've not made one myself yet, so I'm not sure

Two years later, and now I am having issues with generating the Resonate Archives I attempt the command "/wgen story setpos resonatearchive p true" whilst standing at Y=130 5.8.2025 19:32:33 [Error] Player Neververy4/[redacted] caused an exception through a command. 5.8.2025 19:32:33 [Error] Command: /wgen story setpos resonatearchive p true 5.8.2025 19:32:33 [Error] Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Vintagestory.GameContent.GenStoryStructures.OnSetStoryStructurePos(TextCommandCallingArgs args) in VSSurvivalMod\Systems\WorldGen\Standard\ChunkGen\6.GenStructures\Story\GenStoryStructures.cs:line 175 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandImpl.CallHandler(TextCommandCallingArgs callargs, Action`1 onCommandComplete, Dictionary`2 asyncParseResults) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandImpl.cs:line 311 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandImpl.Execute(TextCommandCallingArgs callargs, Action`1 onCommandComplete) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandImpl.cs:line 236 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandImpl.CallHandler(TextCommandCallingArgs callargs, Action`1 onCommandComplete, Dictionary`2 asyncParseResults) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandImpl.cs:line 263 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandImpl.Execute(TextCommandCallingArgs callargs, Action`1 onCommandComplete) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandImpl.cs:line 236 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandImpl.CallHandler(TextCommandCallingArgs callargs, Action`1 onCommandComplete, Dictionary`2 asyncParseResults) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandImpl.cs:line 263 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandImpl.Execute(TextCommandCallingArgs callargs, Action`1 onCommandComplete) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandImpl.cs:line 236 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandApi.Execute(String commandName, TextCommandCallingArgs args, Action`1 onCommandComplete) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandApi.cs:line 99 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandApi.Execute(String commandName, IServerPlayer player, Int32 groupId, String args, Action`1 onCommandComplete) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandApi.cs:line 143 The command mentioned above, "/setstorystrucpos resonancearchive ~-5 ~0 ~4 true", gives the same error, at a shorter log length 5.8.2025 19:39:01 [Error] Player Neververy4/[redacted] caused an exception through a command. 5.8.2025 19:39:01 [Error] Command: /setstorystrucpos resonancearchive ~-5 ~0 ~4 true 5.8.2025 19:39:01 [Error] Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at Vintagestory.GameContent.GenStoryStructures.OnSetStoryStructurePos(TextCommandCallingArgs args) in VSSurvivalMod\Systems\WorldGen\Standard\ChunkGen\6.GenStructures\Story\GenStoryStructures.cs:line 175 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandImpl.CallHandler(TextCommandCallingArgs callargs, Action`1 onCommandComplete, Dictionary`2 asyncParseResults) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandImpl.cs:line 245 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandApi.Execute(String commandName, TextCommandCallingArgs args, Action`1 onCommandComplete) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandApi.cs:line 99 at Vintagestory.Common.ChatCommandApi.Execute(String commandName, IServerPlayer player, Int32 groupId, String args, Action`1 onCommandComplete) in VintagestoryLib\Common\API\Command\ChatCommandApi.cs:line 143 I haven't the slightest idea as to what's being said in these error messages, and as such I don't know where to go from here

How often does worldgen like this happen?
Never Jhonsen replied to hstone32's topic in Videos, Art or Screenshots
I see something like this about once or twice in every world I love it when it happens, and one day I plan to build a base hanging under one I also see, almost every time, a locust nest hanging from somewhere under it- 2 replies

Created a world with Terra Prety what does this entail.
Never Jhonsen replied to ubertronic's topic in Questions
There's no such thing as a stupid question When it comes to mods that alter the vanilla terrain generation, the answer is usually Yes. Removing the mod will create chunk borders, where the mod's terrain mates with the vanilla generation, usually creating steep cliffs and jagged terrain. I recommend waiting, yes. You can look into backing up your world, and then trying to see if the 1.20 mod works under 1.21, but with the upcoming changes to terrain generation in 1.21 I'm gonna assume it will not work There are so many terrain mods on the Mod Database, and they're all so lovely But. Using terrain mods come at a price, and it's one I'm not willing to pay -
I'm about to suggest something that sounds very silly and I have little hope of it doing anything, but. So if you dropped if from 15% to lower, and it "reset" the 1-100% inside that 15% What if you maxed out the volume, restarted the game, and then put it back to your desired 15%? If this seems to fix your issue, then this is without a doubt a bug, and I strongly recommend filling out this form the best you can.

There was a post last month of a few people talking about the music being loud in general, but nothing about the music being too loud on low volume. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I will ask a few troubleshooting questions however; 1. About what game version did you first notice this change? 2. Have you changed any audio settings outside of Vintage Story? For example, new headphones, or new computer parts. 3. Did Windows do a computer update around the time this issue started showing? Alternatively, did you do an update on your OS, whether Windows, macOS, or Linux?

I am in love with the round window the dedicated needed to carve that out . ..

There was a time in which the map (somewhat) remembered where you last looked. So if you had, say, opened our map, zoomed all the way out, and then scrolled East 1000 blocks of your current location before closing it, and then traveled say, 2300 blocks South West, opening the map would have you zoomed out 1000 blocks East of your NEW current location. I couldn't stand it, always having to manually recenter myself When I open a map, I wish for it to be centered on me every time. I don't remember what update changed it to how it is today, but I am so thrilled by it and wish to never return to the olden ways again I can understand why some would appericate this feature, but I would not; however, a toggle in the settings would be perfect

Juice, Wine/Mead/Ale, and Milk in Meals
Never Jhonsen replied to LexicalAnomaly's topic in Suggestions
Mashed rice. .. a classic traditional food Imagining the texture of mashed rice sounds unpleasant. I may be a big rice fan, and I'm always down to try new things, but.. mashed rice . .. Never in my life have I seen the word "Pemmican" (and I in fact first misread it as Penicillin ), so I went to look it up (Wikipedia). "Main ingredients: Bison, deer, elk or moose". Well, three of those ARE in game, but they have the same red meat as other creatures. Maybe they're waiting to add Pemmican in the game until they make a third meat group. Anyways a recipe that uses up berries? I have so so many blueberries that I want to cook with, but only two meals available; jam and pies. Not stew, as I've not been one to get into Animal Husbandry. I get that this (potentially) new meal doesn't seem to give off fruit nutrient, but it's still a nice thought to have something else to do with berries -
That is flat out not true and misinformation. The games that were taken down were legal games, some of them having been on their respectful platforms for years They were taken down because Payment Processors are afraid of people being naked, and those stores require the Payment Processors to make their income.

I love how you type. It makes it easier to read long blocks of text And that chicken coop looks great! Sorry to hear that chicken sorter failed Oh well, better luck next time

If you place your trap door in such a way that it does not align with your ladder when opened, you will have an easier time leaving. Climbing all the way to the top of your ladder will put you next to the trap door whilst standing on top of the ladder, allowing you simply hop up the last block. Alternatively, once at the top of the ladder, you can first close the trap door, them jump up to slide through and on top of it. Not as elegant as a trap door BEING a ladder, but at the very least it's a temporary bandaid until you find a real solution

disable all hostile mobs?
Never Jhonsen replied to Verdantia's topic in [Legacy] Mods & Mod Development
If you want ALL creatures, rust and real, to be passive, there is a world command for it, /worldconfig creatureHostility passive, however it requires a world restart to FULLY take effect; if you toggle the passive/aggressive without a restart, it will only effect newly spawned in creatures. -
It is a GREAT floor for a smithy, I do the same You have metal bits and charcoal dust flying everywhere all the time, and that gravel is the best type of flooring to hide it all away without needing to constantly clean the shop. If you have your world set to "Most chiseled Blocks", then Gravel is a great accent for chiseling with stone Same with sand, they mix well inside rock and ashlar for interior decorating. Sand, while not gravel, also makes a good floor or (when chiseled first) ceiling texture when mixed with a wood boarder.

If you're crushing the nugget itself, then it will only produce 0.3 units; meaning you'll need about 4 nuggets per crushed ilmenite However, at 19 nuggets, that should bring you closer to around 5, not 2, so you may be losing some. Either that, or you just got some really bad odds. Also, for future reference, when it comes to Ilumite, put the chunks into the pulverizer, not the nuggets. You'll have a better rate of return for your Crushed Ilmenite needs.

That's a thing? I used to do it all the time in that other block game It will sometimes work in this game, it has gotten better, but it still will bug out sometimes. You may already know this next bit, but you can also use the number keys to move things to and from your hotbar and a chest, crafting input, or your inventory. Numbers correlate to the hotbar slot. THIS feature doesn't bug out, it's only from the crafting grid /output/ to your hotbar. This feature makes bulk dough so much faster, as you can move your bucket from the grid to your hand, right click to fill it with a water source, and then press that same number key to bring it back to your grid, all without moving your mouse cursor.

There is a "Homo Sapiens" mode that will remove all lore from the game, but it also disables drifters and rifts by default, and has no ruins to gather bony soil from. I would expect to get two to four lore books from a stack of bony soil. 0/30 is harsh but not out the realms of probability.

He is but a bug

This has been around since I started playing It also gets annoyed if you have, for example, 5 items and you try to spread it to 6 spots. Also, you can't craft items with the number keys reliably. If you hover over the output slot, and try to use a number key to put it in your hotbar, it will sometimes vanish completely from the game. And if that item was, say, 8 Meteorite Iron lanterns, and you wanted them in your empty hotbar slot 3, so you key 3 to put the first one there and SHIFT-CLICK the other 7 in place only for them to all vanish. .. Well sometimes that's just life Inventory management tools aren't the best, but that's been low on their focus.

Great suggestion It would make that a lot less tedious to create. Clearly we have a lid for the barrel; so sealing anything shouldn't be an issue. And if we can carry a block of gold, then by all means we can lift a barrel. I propose carrying a sealed barrel in the bag slot
