  1. That's good, but it should probably be a bit more accessible for the average user. Also, piracy is awesome. I wouldn't have found, or purchased this game, if it wasn't for it. I know I'm not the only one, either.
  2. I guess clay is technically cheaper than wood, but you can also acquire it MUCH sooner than you're able to saw wood into boards. Storage Vessels are, by far, the best storage container for food in the vanilla game. Any new items must be able to compete either through slots, perish time, or space efficiency, or else they're just glorified decor.
  3. That's because nothing should happen. Try non-aged meat. Sorry for the confusion. You can seal wine in barrels to make vinegar, but the only way to go from wine > strong wine is through curing. Unless your barrels are in a really cold and secure room, it's unlikely that they have a perish rate of x0.10. In order for wine to become strong wine, it must cure before it starts to spoil. Once spoilage starts, you have no hope of curing it. Basically, just shove wine in bottles unless you have a really awesome cellar or something. Sorry, but I can't make it so that 1 week in the barrel results in strong wine and 2 weeks results in fine wine - it automatically defaults to the longest recipe available for that item, as far as I can tell. I've been really busy lately, so I might go back and re-examine that process later.
  4. Meh, I'm just not a fan of any kind of DRM.
  5. That's a good point, but not being able to play games offline can really turn off people who may have bought the game otherwise. Probably not that many people, but still some. I'm not sure how to get around it either, but an optimistic point of view would be that piracy might lead to more exposure which leads to more sales. Hopefully the game's good enough that people try it and want to buy it? Given how much more impressive it is than Minecraft, its current price is pretty reasonable, too.
  6. Maybe I'm just being paranoid?
  7. Quick hotfix: No more crashing when putting wild yeast starter in barrels. Go download 1.3.10 again if you already have it.

  9. Probably not this one, since your error seems related to the weather and I'll be damned if anything in this mod touches that.
  10. We need the ability to cycle through them on our own in addition to a pause button. It's an issue with items that have a LOT of different ways to create them.
  11. Being able to play single player offline is the bare minimum. At least you can set up a server on your own computer, so even if the game's central servers go down and this website explodes and never comes back, you can still play online with your friends. Perhaps there's a way of doing this and I'm just missing it.
  12. It's not stupid, offline mode is vital for any game. Games that are online-only and dependent upon an external server to run a game you paid for are a menace.
  13. The game needs a lot before I would call it "finished". Even Minecraft wasn't a "mature" game until just a few years ago, and even then that's really just because they decided to stop making real updates for it anymore. Every single biome needs more content, especially oceans and cold biomes. They are mostly barren right now. Flora, fauna, unique ruins, special resources, we need all of it. I also think it would be very very good if you could implement any of the stuff that Ivan's made into the worldgen. Even if it's behind a 'fantasy worldgen' toggle or something, I would freak out if I ever saw those giant mushroom things or the awesome wooden towers from those screenshots. Coming across stuff like that while wandering the world would really make Minecraft look cheap in comparison and I guarantee it would get people to buy the game. The temperature system needs refinement so heatstroke is just as dangerous as freezing to death. Drowning should be included in the game unless there's an intentional reason for seraphs being able to breathe underwater. I think it's really weird that people take what are obvious gameplay limitations and try to make lore out of it. Caves should have more environmental hazards that aren't temporal. Cave ins, rock slides, poison fumes, stuff like that. A combat overhaul. Right now we have the most barebones system possible and it's really not something I think about in most situations. You probably shouldn't be able to cheese 99% of enemies by jumping into a 3x3 pit of water. More ranged weapons. I would be fine with more damage types as well, so that a boar is resistant to piercing damage but not to slashing damage or something. Something a bit more dynamic than 'click at the enemy to kill it' would be nice, but I know better than to expect something like Mount & Blade or Morrowind. A better spawning system. Watching wolves and rabbits spawn out of thin air gets weird fast. The fact that I can clear an entire forest where some wolves live and they just keep spawning there and there's nothing I can do about it sucks. It sucks a lot. I've already rambled about Nests in other threads, though. The player's spawning system is also a bit too "fire & forget" right now. One temporal gear and I don't really have to worry about spawning ever again. A feature like the Spawn Nerf mod would be welcome, or perhaps a special kind of temporal monster that can erase your spawn point if it gets close to it, or your spawn point expires after an in-game year. I sincerely think you'd need at least all 4 of these before the game could really be called 'mature'. Obviously you can, and should, go farther.
  14. Are you trying to use aged meat nuggets? Are your ratios correct? Got everything in the right slot? You're welcome. I'm kind of concerned that it makes the game easier, but I think it does so in a realistic way. More 'plan B's' for when you just can't get a particular resource are a good idea in my book.
  15. No worries, there's a lot going on in this mod and it can be hard to keep track of. I'm not making a wiki entry, though.
  16. There we go. You're trying to double dip. You can't use aged meat to make sausage, since you would be able to age it twice for sausage links with 1500+ protein.
  17. It's not buggy in that regard. You can hold right click on the bowl, you can hold right click on the table. Unless you have some weird mod that I don't, you should be able to hold right click to use the mixer once you have the proper recipes made. Are you only having this problem with sausage, or everything?
  18. Any food oil. Flax, rice, seed, or soybean.
  19. Stuff like that would be great to put on the wiki.
  20. Try holding right click down, dude. I actually asked Jobediah for permission to copy his recipes and substitute my food oil for his soybean oil. One issue with vanilla VS is that the recipes in the handbook don't show what liquids you need in containers. You wouldn't have any idea that you need water in a bucket in order to make bread if that wasn't already extremely obvious. That's why I wrote what liquids you need in the handbook guides.
  21. You right click on the mixing bowl, it works just like a quern. Sometimes the output display is wonky and won't tell you that you can make something, but removing it from the slot and putting it back in fixes that.
  22. Nah, the bottom left slot is only for placing cooking pots in. Right now you can only make salads with it. The bottom right slot is the output slot. You probably have them in the incorrect order. 6 meat nuggets in the first slot and 6 balls of fat in the second will let you make sausage. Just right click it.
