Have that problem right now. And this is the first time creative mode failed to break unknown blocks. I need to regen the chunks, but with underground mines in the area, I cannot go too high a number to regen the area without loosing the underground mines.
-
Push comes to shove, and you cannot find blue clay, give this mod a try. https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/22134
-
You need to look near water for them. And vanilla spawns them in warmer areas. Its easy enough to miss with the grass growing on top, and if you are lucky you might even find some close to your spawn point, or whereever you placed your base or home.
-
that is one option, and one i may need to do. but since you can only break it with creative, the question still stands though... Only thing I havent tried is chiscelling it and see if it will work.
-
Honing and sharpening mechanics in vanilla would be great. But till then, there is the Toolsmith mod that can do that.
-
Looks like a mod is the only option to do that. Suppose I could pair it with a titanium pickaxe requirement, just to balance it out.
-
Mantle itself I can understand it has to be unbreakable. The devestation rock however would have been great for my build though
-
Any idea how to break devastation rock? Seems to require Tool level 99...
-
commands are fine and well, but only applies with cases where command access is available (single player worlds), or a player with admin level powers are online. Better solution would be something like a sponge to soak up the water source. One day maybe?

Looking great so far

Well if the lore content is not your cup of tea, then go all in with a mega project. Mid fall on my current world, so the wait time for me can be used with gathering blocks and chiselling walls, ceiling and floors. Cant seem to find anything close to a dark grey to contrast with the regular or even light grey (the regular and light doesnt have a big enough contrast for my build )
-
Placeholder blocks for floor, walls, and ceiling is in place. Fog is too much to get a deceint screenshot :-(, so I'll have to hunker down through the winter, and get to work chiscelling the proper blocks. Still a lot to do on deck 11.
-
Mid autumn on my world, and I have a lot of fog at the moment. Snow I can clear easily enough if needed (relatively speaking), but how to disable the fog long enough to get a proper screenshot?
-
Ok, managed to verify the build as per the vid, finished the bussard collectors on the nacelles, and put the proper colors on them, as well the deflector dish. Hardest part? Convincing the 3 mod developers regarding changes I need to them so I can better use them on my build. No luck so far with 2 of them
-
i've found pits to be far easier. but do recommend you dig them down 4 blocks.
-
Not much to look at yet, only finished the outline for deck 11, (as per the vid that Normandie Junction made). Still need to double check the outline was done right, and then I can start to get cracking on this project. Might have bitten off more than I can chew on this one though.

The medieval difficulty is precisely what caught my attention.

Exactly right. Hence calling MC TOBG. Or other such terms. Sides, another reason for dumping it was M$ stealing minecraft mods, assets and maps from other contributors, selling it on the bedrock marketplace and doing hard server bans or player bans (so restrictive you cannot play offline, single player worlds). Skyblock being the most famous that was stolen, with different versions on bedrock, and M$ doing less than nothing to stop the fraud, and punishing the original maker of the Skyblock map. PS. To the moderators, feel free to delete this comment if it crosses the line.

At this point, VS is superior, cant remember when last I logged into the minecraft account even.

Nothing like starting a new world, and being slain by a pack of ravenous wolves 2 seconds after character creation. Respawned and made like a jackrabbit, wolves hot on my tail. Died again, and after respawning, managed to get away. founded a base on a small island, in the middle of a big lake. Think that was the 3'rd map I tried.

I've found it easier to place it from behind. Try that. Also what was said above.

Only way is with the chisel.

Full plate iron armor: still getting KO'ed by Corrupt Sawblade Locust
Dilan Rona replied to vinnland's topic in Discussion
On a bad cave expedition, I might encounter 3. Worst so far was having 2 in the same cave tunnel (couple hundred blocks apart from each other, at opposite ends of the same cave system), and they can climb rather effectively. -
There is steps you can take to make it easier for him, the map can be set to have reduced animal difficulty for example, and if you both play on the same map (server), you can spawn in items as and when he needs it. As he gets better, you simply take off the training wheels gradually till he can handle VS on regular.

ran across VS from watching youtube vids of it myself. had it popping on my playlist for a while before i decided to watch it, and i loved it. You'd think that watching a few videos would prepare you for the game, and make it a lot easier. Boy was I wrong. I had my keester handed to me within the first 5 min. Havent stopped playing it. Took a few worlds before I found my feet though and got a handle on the survival mechanics, and back then if I saw a sawblade, I made like a chicken and scurry away.
