Sorry if it should be obvious, just terrible at parsing code. I don't even know if this actually breaks anything, so feel free to tell me to ignore it instead.

Thanks for the response, I kinda figured that a rod directly on my house was a bad idea, but definitely good to have it written out for anyone else to find. As for calling lightning, I found these 2 mods after my first post: Mjolnir and Lightning Hammer, both give a hammer that makes lightning strike the targeted block, although Mjolnir seems more finicky. Also, even with lightning fires turned on, neither started fires even with direct strikes to spawned trees. Not much of a head for code, but with a quick glance, seems like maybe lightning hammer just calls the lightning animation and "manually" breaks blocks?

Mod request, pick up and move fish?

It's not what you wanted, but he might have been thinking of Floating Fish, which lets you pick up dead fish as an item and craft it with a knife to get the meat. For anyone who gets coding and feels like taking a crack, the Ornamental Fish mod lets you move them by including the drop code: drops: [], attributes: { netCaughtItemCode: "ornamentalfish:creature-betta-{type}", }, and then adding a: code: "creature", class: "ItemCreature", to match each fish type. I don't quite get what goes into the item type/ allowed variants stuff or I would probably give it a try. -
Can't seem to find anything about this already in the forum, or if there's a way to summon lightning to test myself. Does only the block struck have a chance to ignite, or all flammable blocks in the damage radius? do I need to completely isolate my lightning rod from flammable blocks, including my ladders, or is a wood tower completely fine?

hey, what's the max post size on the mod DB? tried to post a server.main log for help from the mod author and got a message that I couldn't comment due to excessive size. And before anyone asks, I did think ahead and have it in a spoiler box to avoid interfering with everyone else.

What game mode did you use? Asking because I know one sets your respawn radius to something like 50K blocks. which even at max zoom out is a long ways out. like, you would probably spend in-game Months just walking back to where you died.

found out that there were errors with Salty's Cave Symphony it includes an earthquake event that was improperly set up and would randomly go off above ground or in houses.

170 in the list, but most are things like Buzzwords that I'm pretty sure wouldn't do this. Actually, just had a thought that it might be from Salty's Cave Symphony, it just didn't click at first because both were above ground.

twice now I've had random 'earthquakes' happen, generally lasting about 20 seconds. I don't remember that being a thing, so did I miss an update note or do I need to double check all my mods. example caught midway through: Untitled video - Made with Clipchamp.mp4

Just brainstorming, what about a stone table/anvil, and tags on like 10 decorative items as worthy/unworthy of the gods. AI just tallies good vs bad ground stored directly adjacent. place a temporal gear or something to sacrifice it to the gods and receive an extra life?

Love the idea of tapping maple trees for sap/syrup. Maybe being able to use it as a honey substitute in cooking. Not sure on the details but maybe vernalizing code could be used to simulate real life temperature requirements. I don't have the coding skills to do it myself but if anyone else wants to take a crack at it I'll cheer you on.

I have a mod file in my folder just called airmapfix. This obviously doesn't match the name of any mods on the mod DB so I tried going to the config file because I read that the mod name, description and such should be there. The name and Id were both just airmapfix, and the description just said, "to be added". Is there any way to search the Mod DB by file names? Or failing that, does anyone recognize this mod who could give me the proper name?
