  1. I havent had the set peat on fire by pit kiln directly happen to me but some did burn in the great fire that started from a missed patch of grass by a pit kiln that burnt out a huge area of scrubland and only stopped with the rain storm 3 days later
  2. Nothing is "holding us back", we are playing in a game thats still actively being built and what we have in this thread is the common perception that the player knows whats "best" for any given game when the reality is that the player very rarely has anything useful for the game but knows only what they want from it.
  3. Till the start of 25 i played on a 10 year old PC with a 8 year old GPU just fine, i cant say really i ever noticed the loading times being too long, i also was connecting to a server in the EU from Australia so that skews load times some what.
  4. I love that beam
  5. What is a church but an inefficent use of a building that could serve a better purpose
  6. Have iron or better spears but you cant throw them, just let you poke things at a longer reach ~ particuly if one could fight from behind an ally if in multiplayer
  7. Bee very quiet as it helps
  8. That is being worked on, some screen shots recently show that. That being said you can also make some seperation to have insulated rooms and unless your an always armoured blackguard with a item in the offhand the hunger drain isnt excessive.
  9. Bears are on a scale of lethal when not prepeared for them to just mildly dangerous when you are.
  10. Never seen them do it but i see the results all the time (or the lack of animal being the result)
  11. Once done, tends to not be a repeat experiance
  12. End game tech item can otherwise light is the only way outside of Worldgen settings to turn off. There could also be a mod but i have no idea on that.
  13. Have had BBQ Bowtorn after one storm ~ it spawned into the Pit kiln room while all were use
  14. Does the Update fix/ add stuff you need fixed or want to use right now Yes/No? if you dont need to update then why rush tilll other things your playing with might not be
  15. The base set of classes does a good job of covering a nice wide scope and thus the realm of more classes does fall firmly in should stay in mods to get the wanted specifics.
  16. Tried it with iterations of the seed i want to use and it didnt really do what i wanted except make area's of ground clutter more so, i would have prefered it to add more Tree's to the open spaces. even 100% didnt really do that, just made existing forests denser and less inviting to explore
  17. Yes and no. Conceptuly yes but practically no as it impedes what i like to do a lot and leaves snow and ice around there-after because of how the map updates but i deal with it. We are planning to move our home to a new map and i want to play on a Warm start for what the seed offers versus what the temprarte one does and my friend is less keen on it as he likes winter (however he also tends to not go anywhere beyond the local grounds most of the time anyway)
  18. That its not actually needed because of whole raft of things. Maybe they will add them maybe they wont, the game doeant "need them", YOU want them that's all.
  19. All the lead ive ever found has been grabbed from visble on the surface desposits as ive been exporing (and i use a lot of lead with lanterns)
  20. Place it far enough away that they cant jump the fence from it but its still in reach of you to use from outside the fence or the other one i use is its embeded in the ground under the fence so is accessable that way aswell (use this one a lot with the Rams/ early gen sheep). You'll want airlocks in the main walkway espescially with pigs as they just love to phase thru fences anyway.
  21. The game is three mods in a trenchcoat and the key with mods is to only update as you see fit, unless what the game update has in it fixes or adds something you really need now.
  22. Nope. map is good. map is life. Waypoints save on endless packed dirt pillars to mark interesting things (and VS has many interesting things). Minimap less so but still useful.
  23. Sitting on it in a massive reserve. I've never considred using it for compost fuel. Recently we've been letting hides rot aswell because we have so much leather and i tend to come back with heap anytime i go out for a walk.
