  1. I've been planning to add that, but it sounds like there may still be some compatibility issues. I'm not sure if it will cause any conflicts with my other mods. Cheese curds are a must! One of my favorite places near here also makes an excellent smoked Gouda and a Salsa Jack with a tremendous amount of flavor.
  2. I'm a relatively new player, so I don't know the entire history of who did what, but just wanted to say to whoever came up with the idea of the fruitpress and the juicing/alcohol making processes, you are a genius! I can't express to you enough how much I enjoy this aspect of the game. It satisfies something in me that I didn't even know I desired. I have many barrels of wines and ciders, and have recently started making brandies as well. I don't know why this feels as good as it does, but thank you so much for including it in the game! If you ever find yourself in central Wisconsin, I'll take you out for a couple of Brandy Old Fashioneds.
  3. I was going to make this suggestion, as well. Tapping Maple trees for syrup would be a nice addition, though maybe with a metal tap rather than sticks.
  4. I put salt blocks (licks) on fence posts in my goat, sheep, and elk enclosures just for aesthetics. The goat and elk blocks are still there, but the sheep block is gone for the second time. Are they eating it, or is it just de-spawning for some reason?
  5. Just a few aerial night shots of our compound. Two of us playing, 30 day months, time set to double standard. Winter was very long, but we made it through. Managed to build just about everything that can be built (we've been holding off on the Lazaret, so no tech further than the Glider yet). We have Chickens (gen 5), Rabbits (gen 10), Pigs (gen 4), Goats (gen 2), and Sheep (gen 3). Pulled every berry bush and fruit tree that was outside of the radius of our base, and brought those back, surrounding each pond with a different type of berry. Our original farmland (and the reason I settled in this area to begin with) was loaded with High Fertility Soil, and that was surrounded by Medium. We now have four Greenhouses, as well. Two Apiaries, the first not built ideally, but the second is perfect. It took a lot of work, but we now have 50 skeps going. Beehive Kiln, Cementation Furnace, Coke Ovens, an enclosure for our Elks, built the Sailboat out of Redwood (not pictured) thanks to an Agricultural Trader that sold seeds. Made a barrel of each type of berry wine, and looking forward to adding the various cold weather fruit tree wines this year. We spent a lot of the winter hunting down the various ores to stock up, and now have trunks loaded with everything we might need. Managed to find almost every type of rare ore too, save for Uranium, which I have not gotten any readings for anywhere yet. I was worried we wouldn't have enough food to make it through winter, but we had one final harvest in October that really helped. Now we have enough food for 8 people, lol. We've done a massive amount of exploration, found teleporters all over the place, and are starting to plan a build for a second base in the South. (I really want to grow all of those crops and fruit trees in addition to what we already have, even though we don't need them). I have a series of teleporters marked that take us far enough south to a great location beside the ocean (not sure if those are from Vanilla or Better Ruins, or a combination, but it's great!) Also, my monstrosity of a windmill will get one more level yet, once the first Flax harvest of the year comes in. Don't need it, but going to do it anyway, lol. We're both loving the game, and can't wait to see what else gets added in the future! (And yes, I did put a smiley face on the side of a mountain. There's a door under there with a room loaded with barrels that will soon be filled with many types of Brandy, lol)
  6. This is awesome! Now I can hike the Ice Age Trail in the game, too, lol.
  7. Thank you very much! I didn't know this existed. This should get the work done much faster now
  8. I don't know if this is something anyone else is interested in, or if it's possible, but is there a way to add something that would allow for custom area clearing? Say you want to flatten a 15 x 3 area, or 3 wide and 4 deep, or 2 x 16 for some examples. Is there something that can be added to Creative Mode that would allow for choosing a custom height and width to plow through everything, making it quicker and easier to clear large swaths of land? Our base is very far from any ocean in all directions, my plan was to dig canals to connect the lakes near our base to the oceans, but the amount of work involved in doing just the small area I've done so far has been immense. After five (real life) days of working on it, I switched to Creative Mode to get it done faster, but even that takes a long time. Being able to set dimensions and just run forward taking out everything in the path is something I think would be very helpful and useful, if it's possible.
  9. I've been using Walnut and Larch for my floors and walls, and Oak for furniture.
