The hens don't want to lay eggs in the nest, there are eggs everywhere, can someone check it? because before RC2 it was ok.

Same, but I have a bunch of chicks doing so, and they don’t want to grow up.

Is there any planned or approximate date for the full release of the new update? Thanks a lot!

In the next few weeks RC 1 will be released followed by more release candidates in a variety of stable and unstable conditions.

A few days ago, I came across a mod with full iron doors. Now I see that they're already in the pre-3 version, even with doors made entirely of grates. Now I have a question: can these full iron doors be used to create charcoal? Or do I still need to fill them with bricks? I don't know if it's worth testing if the program isn't implemented? Wouldn't it be better to use the doors from the kiln for creating clay items, for the kiln where cement steel is made, and for creating charcoal, for example?

I think because its been a few pre's , the team are wanting to be a tad more patient before going RC, some of the tweaks and fixes would of been a bit messy and I agree with the idea, it may need a bit more time to cook.

The wording is that the barred versions could not be in the ovens, as in its the same as always but now we can have a barred version for castles/keeps. The wording suggested the new barred version would not work in ovens due to the bars,

Hope that helps

Edit: To clarify its the new Barred version, that may work in the ovens due to the bar thing, the barred version does not work with cementation ovens, as stated,

1.21 is cooking! Looking through some of these PR logs is dope.

Reviving other players is super cool, elk improvements definitely cool, and more. Can't wait till it hits the official public server! ❤️

Sorry. Missed this.

I believe they are all -4% healing, -2% hunger, -3% walk speed, 300 durability, 50% damage reduction, Tier 1, and flat damage -0.5.

Oh, and it gives you a degree of warmth. Let me know if I missed a stat there somewhere, but I think that's all of them. At least all I remember right at the moment. It's actually not a bad armor, considering the bear also gives you fat so you can prepare the pelts, and the bones for the armor. All you have to scrounge up are the ropes.

Nice! We can use some added survivability in warmth and protection when starting in the cold harsher northern area's.

Would be nice if the hides came with the same color as the original owner used to wear it. Like a white version armor of the polar bear with a bit better protection or damage reduction.. I mean they're walking tanks compared to a puny sunbear right? 😜 And a panda version for the furries or something 😅 Also gives a reason to travel to a different region for that different texture to wear.

They do. No stat variations, but each has its own look. As when used as bear skin rugs. With or without the head. You can mix-match hide and head, and even give him two heads.

Kind of a snoozefest considering the timeframe. Lol'd at the fix for crashing on right clicking empty pot with empty bowl. Don't want to sound like I'm some expert but it's funny to see what sounds like null reference errors when Tyron presents so pompously.

The game as a whole is a slow burn, as it was meant to be, careful additions to make the game more, rather than bombastic changes that will annoy players... I for one approve the slow burn method.

Minor stat variations; the “passive” bears make weaker armor.

Edit for clarity: they’re weaker by 10% protection. Same in every other regard.

Mind if I ask how much experience you have writing code?

Then you should know how easy it is to muck one thing up while making a change somewhere else.

Which is why I remarked about the self-assured attitude of the lead developer/CEO/community manager/code reviewer in spite of these silly errors.

You never made a simple mistake? You know, something like x < 2 instead of x <=2 in a loop?  And it sounds like you know exactly where in Tyron's code that simple error happened.

Again, my critique isn’t about the mistake itself. Thanks.

Depending on the language you are programming in, if that's per day, that's pretty good! If you've amassed a good selection of snippets over the years and are using an editor that manages them well, that might be a little on the weak side.

If you are talking code maintenance, that really is pretty impressive. Figuring out what someone else did in the code can be tough.

As a grizzled middle-aged software engineer, I hate lines of code as a measure of productivity 😁. Some of my most productive work has involved REMOVING thousands of lines of code in a refactor that makes things more reliable and adds functionality.
