Boofo Posted August 1, 2025 Report Posted August 1, 2025 Small issue with the new healing system, it's nearly impossible to heal during the first story boss. Being flung by the ground slam cancels your healing, and jumping to avoid the attack cancels it as well. With how long it takes to heal with armor on, it's almost impossible to find a window where I can actually heal during the fight. If I take my armor off to heal faster, that just gets me killed faster (and would be kinda awkward game design). I think it just needs some tweaking, the first boss should be difficult but removing healing would be a little much. 3 2

I don't know why someone hasn't made a patch for this yet... 4 1

It's always been super awkward, clunky and jank.

That depends on sea level though. In worlds where the sea has risen, it will have to be more than 170 blocks. Just think about those worlds where sea level is like 160 blocks.

So when are we getting RC3? I went back to RC1 but it was crashing so bad I had to go back to RC2, at least it dawned on me, the work around for the food bowl CTD is don't eat until you are hungry enough to eat the whole bowl at once. And of course the moment I said that, my game started crashing repeatedly, turns out the partially filled bowl that I had to leave there to rot (because even picking it up caused a /0 CTD) when it finally decayed into weapons-grade material. So the fix for that is go into creative mode and go delete the offending bowl. If you are not nearby, then do a /time stop so the entity doesn't tick. Do /time resume when you're done. The trick turns out to be to dart in long enough to draw the melee attack, immediately back up so you don't get hit, then dart in again. Kind of like battling drifters, but the timing is different. So long as you can keep him from ground pounding, you can heal. 1

Another thing I noticed is that I can't heal while on a raft, but can dismount the raft and heal while floating in the water. This seems a little backwards
TeaJay Posted August 3, 2025 Report Posted August 3, 2025 Having a lot of crashes with this version, I only use mods that have been updated to RC, but it crashes even without the mods. I'm thinking it somehow corrupted my saved world since I can start a new one without a crash, but if I try to load certain world, it always crashes.

Krougal Posted August 5, 2025 Report Posted August 5, 2025 (edited) Was the time for peat in a pit kiln changed to 20 hours? It used to be 16. I didn't see it in the change logs, but I wanted to double check before I go submitting it as a bug. I just tested brown coal too, it shows 20 hours when I light it. I am not 100% that I don't have a partially functioning mod giving me that info. Extra info is partially working, I know it doesn't show the charcoal pit info, which is a drag.
