Lithembia Posted March 30 Report Posted March 30 I have only started one world in Vintage Story. Right around my spawn I found copper, bismuth, cassiterite, sphalerite, and iron. I'm also next to pine forests with probably a dozen resin trees nearby. As I've been exploring there are huge swaths of land with no ores to speak of. Other places there might be cassiterite, but you have to travel a kilometer to find copper instead of stumbling over it in the same mine. I'm scouting an area right now for a new satellite base farther south that has very poor to trace ores and was thinking I was glad I didn't spawn there. The only thing I haven't found that I would like is halite. 2
Teh Pizza Lady Posted March 30 Report Posted March 30 Thankfully survival goods traders are prone to selling it. 1
thegamehugger Posted March 30 Report Posted March 30 Meanwhile I have spend most of my spring and half of my summer trying my best to find copper only to learn of panning (Got 40 copper in a day. Wild.) 1

I started a world in 1.22 just a few days ago and I was just randomly exploring a cave and I found exposed halite like 25 blocks down inside the cave. First time I've ever found halite with even looking for it. I mined up two stacks of it and promptly left the cave, forgetting to mark the location on my map. Now I can't find it again 1 2
