  1. I don't really get how it is intuitively a sanity meter. In real life do people go insane and sane depending on where they stand or how deep they go into a cave? I would say there is nothing intuitive about it. Some Youtubers call it a sanity meter and that has caught hold of some people.
  2. I don't love them, but since they dialed back the spawn rate they make more sense. They spawned at a ridiculous rate at first.
  3. That's what a torch is for!
  4. I agree, it would be nice if there was a middle ground between the iron age and night vision. It can be unlocked by story progression, but that is always my idea. Unlock it by story progression.
  5. You just have to break the branches of the tree. There is no other way to get seeds.
  6. Ive had music off for so long. I want to hear the bears and bees.
  7. I feel your frustration. I love the game, but as combat becomes front and center there is something lacking. The days of saying the game isn't about combat are over. I could have ignored it more if Chapter 2 didn't lean into combat yet again. If the boss at the end was some sort of puzzle or skill challenge it would have backed away from the combat requirement a little. Maybe I missed some lore, but why exactly do you need to fight the boss to pick up the lense? Was it holding it there with it's mind powers? Magnets that get disabled when it takes off?
  8. Mindful may not be a good enough waring. "ACHTUNG! DANGER! CAUTION! This command will nukes anything including your elk."
  9. I get your point, but I think that is just how Tyron wants the game to be played. He doesn't want you to run around underground like in Minecraft and bring up easy hauls of ore. 1) Stability - This is the backbone of the lore, so it is fully intended to inhibit you as you mine. 2) Food - You shouldn't be traveling that far from your base to find most ores. I think that is why there are so many options of bronze. People get so stuck on one ore they travel far and wide instead of realizing what is around them. I'm not saying this is you, but some people get stuck on the idea they have to find high or very high readings when they don't need anything better than decent. Heck even poor is good enough sometimes. 3) Durability - Definatly this is my bane as well, but again I think this is 100% intended to force you to make more copper pickaxes early on. All of that being said, there are some really cursed seeds out there where you could drive yourself crazy trying to find what you want. I've played countless seeds and 1-2 of them would have made my life miserable as a new player. I was pretty lucky that my first seed was very easy with ore and lack of bears/wolves near spawn.
  10. Season has nothing to do with it the last time someone posted the code. Unless it was updated in 1.21, Its all RNG and the bears always spawn sooner or later.
  11. I would agree it needs a better in game tutorial for new players. The guarantee of success will not be a vannila change. From listening to Tyrons interviews that just isn't something he is going to change. If you keep playing, you will realize how stupid easy it is to find the normal ores. I remember it was hard at first and the most popular video on prospecting leads you down a primrose path, which doesn't help the average player.
  12. My last playthrough started with the roar of a hungry bear. Brown, black, grizzly... who knows it ate me before I moved very far. Generally though, most people aren't as good as you a taking advantage of bad pathing. As the bear ate me, I was thinking how the F does Thorfinn shake them so easy.
  13. It looks like your floor might be wrong. I can't see exactly but it should be grates that should be in the floor. Maybe just a bad angle and they are there. The in game tool will show you anywhere you have a bad block. What do you mean by this? After you fill it up with iron and whatever coal you used it should say it is ready for heat. If it doens't say that it isn't working.
  14. I suggest you start with smaller pits. Most of my pits are 2x2x3 at most. Each stack of firewood has to be exactly 32 pieces. If it is 31 then the pit burns up and you get nothing. It doesn't mater if you walk on it, rains on it, dance on it... NOTHING else maters as long as you don't open it back up until it quits smoking. If you don't see it smoking out the top after you cover it up.. you failed. Good Luck!
  15. They definately need to go away after the book is read.
  16. I read the title of the post and I was wondering, how you could not find Galena since it's everywhere... but a deep deposit changes things. I've honestly never looked for one. They must exist. I can't exactly ever remember hitting one, but I wouldn't even stop to mine it out, since I am never looking for it after the first little bit I find on the surface. Good luck!
  17. Same, I had to toss mine outside because they are distracting.
  18. So when did these particles start showing up around lore books when they are placed on the ground? I just started a new playthrough and I swear these don't exist in my 1.20 playthrough that I haven't updated to 1.21.
  19. It's not important. You are just blocking the new treasure hunter trader. There is a way to respawn the trader somewhere else, but if you already have a treasure hunter trader than it isn't a big deal.
  20. It would be cool, but I doubt they will do anything like that. I would be great idea for the "adventure" game.
  21. I wish that was possible as well. It is sort of annoying building your base where it is stable only to find out later it is just barely stable, so it takes forever to regain stability.
  22. Never seen that myself, but it could be a freak bug.
  23. What do you mean? Just have the same mods on the new computer and it wont know the difference. I've moved saves with mods all the time. Check the version of the mods to make sure they match if you are having a problem.
  24. Rip that hard drive or nvme drive out and save your world!
