  1. They’re working on it. But what is meant by “researching feasibility” is that if they cannot fulfill their vision of how they want rivers, or anything, to look and behave, then they might just not add it. The devs put their own vision first, and take criticism of what they add in stride; if it was any different, we likely wouldn’t have the game we have at all.
  2. Then don’t. EDIT: @SpaceVortex, thanks for the rep point.

It uses the sapling model, but yeah, this is true. CORRECTION: actually, I’m wrong here, but only with planters. When I wrote this, I was unaware that saplings have a unique model in a planter; they do, however, use the sapling model in a flowerpot.
  4. Adeynus was acting, as some may say, “uppity.” PSA TO ALL: if you want to make complaints or criticisms, even if you find them reasonable and inoffensive, please put them in the DISCUSSION forum rather than on anything @Tyron posts. If you feel that commenting discourse under a news post is the best or only way to get a developer’s attention, IT ISN’T. Simply @ mention them in a discussion post; if things get heated on a news post, it’s much more likely that someone walks away with a ban or having gotten the thread locked.
  5. Thanks for the replies! Considering the options, I think I’ll stick to checking the github, as D-for-Disguisting-iscord is a place I shall not tread.
  6. It is in the game, just not at all in a functional state.
  7. Is there? If so, where is it? I want to know! Or is the only option available to look at the PRs on the Github?
  8. VSync locks the game’s framerate limit to the refresh rate of the monitor you’re using, so it helps with some graphical issues and keeps the game to a reasonable amount of cpu usage, as far as I know.
  9. Eeeeeewwww! That’s a gross misuse of the glorious apostrophe! … unless you’re saying “[…] the late 1400 has/is to early 1500 has/is.”
  10. I don't know if I can cite anything, but the whole game angles for an eldritch-medieval-clockpunk-steampunk-kinda vibe, ya know? BTW, there are boilers in game, so I think a primitive form of locomotive wouldn't be too horribly out of place.
  11. Given the buckets and the effects that seem similar to the drunk effect, I have my suspicions…
  12. True art tells a story…
  13. Man, we’re gonna hate fishing when it gets added if people complain half as much as they did here. “We need catches to be guaranteed, or it’s just a waste of time!” “Dude, you do realize it’s not called catching for a reason?”
  14. Hmmm. That sounds like overcomplicating it. I personally think the gear itself shouldn’t have any sub-elements, as if the player wasn’t going to notice the gear spinning, they might just not notice… but maybe you’re onto something with some kind of angle indicator on the gear.
  15. Charred bread and cured meat are my No. 1s. Shoutout to them. Nobody’s making you use stability. In fact, I play without it, and find the game to be a lot better for exploration and such, whatever that’s worth; but if you make a rant thread about stability, you didn’t hear that here. By the way, it’s sketchy as hell that you didn’t quote for this. You can multi quote, by the way, by just selecting whatever you want to quote. If you’re using a phone, it sometimes doesn’t work, but whatever. P.S: as I am currently on a phone, and quoting has decided to crap out, they are looking into adding fishing. Just like with any of these really heated threads, the “just use mods” song and dance is an interim solution; if you keep the thread civil, rational, and readable for the devs, it’s far more likely that they’ll listen, and if they don’t, nobody’s stopping you from throwing them an @.
  16. If you have blue, green, AND red color blindness, I don’t think you’d be able to see anything on a computer. As for a pattern, I’d have a generic glow for stability increase (I prefer stability) and the rift halo effect for decreasing stability.
  17. BTW, I was making this bread to prep for the first story chapter. So, obviously, I left it and my new tin bronze shield at home. But I found bees! At the story location... which is 4,000 blocks from base. You win some, you lose some.
  18. Hmmm. I bet it's probably better firepit, I have that installed. Speaking of, they really should look into firepit QOL.
  19. As stated above: when bread is baked in a campfire, it has the black body glow like any metal item. No wonder it comes out charred…
  20. WOOHOOOO! *edit: it’s a dev build, so I would NOT add it to any existing saves.
  21. This is how it works as of 1.21, I believe.
  22. There really should be some way to do a reaction that doesn’t give points, or make it so that you need multi-factor authentication to react with wolf bait.
  23. If they add smaller animals, it’d be cool if they had about the same voxel resolution as the other animals, so that they’re little bunches of pixels like the little rabbits.
  24. There is actually a seemingly WIP quiver in game! It’s only available in creative, but it functions similarly to what @Blythe says, although it simply uses a regular bag slot. I’d suggest you try it out and write down here what you think should change. One thing I think might work is having it accept things like sticks and reeds as well as arrows, as those would logically also fit and make it less of a one-trick pony.
