  1. Well, I thought it would mean I wouldn't have to walk for hours just to get to a different climate. Apparently that is not the case?
  2. Y'all cut the default world size by 1/10th when playing singleplayer... right?
  3. Updated to 1.4.3! Added Braziers compatibility Breaded food can be fried in saucepan/cauldron Metal rolling pin durabiltiy increased Meat curing time increased Aged meat/dried sausage nutrition bonus reduced from +50% to +25% Yogurt changed from Protein to Dairy Acorn breaded meat display fixed Aged meatnuggets show up in meal description Honey & Maple/Birch yogurt can be made now Bread starter doesn't require yeast water to make more starter Knives can be used to chop up dried cassava & papyrus/cattail roots Sunflower, flax grain, and fruit syrups can be added to salads Spelt, rice, and amaranth grain can be added to soups Wine always rots into vinegar; vinegar rots into water
  4. It would just require some restructruing and maybe some copypasting. It'd be easier to fix the salad recipe than to implement Wildcraft.
  5. Yes... I suppose I could figure out how to patch those recipe files when the necessary mods are active, sorry about that.
  6. Yeah, kind of... I already know I'm going to have a lot to do once fruit trees are implemented. I do like using the mod personally, though. I did get started on compatibility, but then 1.15 came out and I had to spend a couple months updating the mod for it. I needed a break after that. You should be able to use it in any recipe you can use sausage in. I think you can just put it in certain meals right now. Mixed juice is kind of annoying - I can't really make it have different colors without utilizing variants, and I refuse to make variants for every possible permutation. That would be bonkers. So, the 'compromise' is that you have to use one of EVERY portion. It'd be nice to be able to just mix 2 or 3 juices together, though.
  7. It's been on my list for months, but I think the author of that mod is MIA? Granted, I guess it doesn't need to be updated for me to make a bunch of patches, but still.
  8. I LOVE the temporal storm visuals, as basic as they are. Makes me wish there were larger ruins I could explore while in such a delirious state.
  9. Yes, right out of the ground, totally unprocessed. You can't make tofu yet, but I'm not opposed to adding it. To be frank, I have a long list of foods I need to add to the mod and I've been too burnt out (not on VS, just in general) to add them in. I'll add it to the list... I can add peanuts to the trail mix recipe pretty easily. To be honest, nothing in the mod uses peanuts or bell peppers right now, so I should bundle those together in a future update.
  10. So what are you going to do if/when things like carts and other forms of transportation get introduced? We utilize container shipping and 18-wheelers for a reason.
  11. Make sure all the ingredients are in separate slots.
  12. Just put CarryCapacity in the game already!

    Class survey

The Commoner has no place in a class system. Tweak the other classes, ditch Commoner, and add the ability to disable classes altogether. "What if I join a server that has classes enabled and I don't want to play one?" Go to another server.
  14. Not saying this shouldn't be in the base game, but if you're just talking about giving existing blocks increasing walking speed, it's SUPER easy to do, you could just patch a few .jsons and call it a night.
  15. See, the best part is that the torch CAN'T break! My god, it's probably better than 50% of non-spear weapons just for that alone! Add burn damage on top and you have a true weapon of ultimate power. Honestly, sometimes I'll hit a drifter once or twice and it'll get scared and run away - good enough for me! PLUS I can wield the torch in my off-hand, which I can't do with other weapons, and it has non-combat utility on top of that. I was sort of joking at first, but I'm unironically starting to see the light.
  16. Bro, you have a torch right there. Kill them. Kill them all. The torch even makes them burn! Drifters are such a non-issue that the only time they hurt me early-game is when they sneak up on me and get a hit in. Surface drifters are very reasonable.

    Multiplayer survey

That's silly. What I mean is that is that the game's sales figures are absolutely meaningless to me. If they change the game to appeal to widespread audiences to the point that I don't want to play it anymore, I won't. I hope Tyron can eat? I'm kind of baffled, honestly.
  18. Multiplayer's rough. I joined a server and we had iron within 4 hours. We didn't even have enough clay for everyone to have bowls yet, and people were already making bloomeries. So, I've just spent the past 2 weeks being the chef and chiseling stuff. Kinda sucks, since the most fun part of the game is getting to iron, IMO. Now I have to make myself login so I can work on a cool tower for... what purpose? I dunno, so I can have my own place. I don't really need one, though.

    Multiplayer survey

I am always incredibly wary of the "we should include this in a game so it'll sell more" aspect of game development. I actually don't care how much VS sells as long as the game is good. Having more difficult monsters (that you can STILL DISABLE) is going to be something the game MUST deal with at some point, or else not have combat at all.

    Multiplayer survey

Too safe. I would prefer more dangerous mobs that can swarm, have ranged attacks, tear down/walk through blocks, burrow, fly, have AOE attacks, etc, etc.
  21. Because "cheesing" something, by definition, is a degenerate strategy. If someone handles their first night in VS by digging into the dirt, sealing themselves in a hole, and walking away for 10-15 minutes - that's not something that should be in the game because it discourages playing the game. Nerd poles are another method of avoiding gameplay, which is why the mechanics surrounding the problem should be corrected so that people do not want or feel the need to stand on a pillar for 10 minutes.
