I've had worlds where whenever I think I've found a crater it's hiding a meteor and others where that suspected crater is just a depression in the ground.

A new player asks a million questions.(Not really)

The rotor altitude is the important detail. Also consider that there is a small power loss for long spans of axles, so dropping a 70 block length of axle can have a noticeable reduction in power. -

More accurately - the max windmill power is 60 blocks above sea level. Sea level changes as world height changes. To find sea level check the block height of any nearby sea/ocean or even a large lake. -
That mod takes things to the other extreme. Given how prevalent meteors can/usually be that mod can totally skip the bronze age. It's worse than skipping the copper age by jumping straight to bronze anvile and tools should one find bronze alloys quickly. IMO that mod would be better if it toned down the results of mining meteors to vanilla levels and required bronze instead of copper for forging.

Maybe put a door or gate in the escape tunnel? Wolves can't navigate those when they're closed.

Not the alliteration. You made me laugh.

Welcome to VS and the forums! Be prepared for a lot more of those facepalm moments. Even after playing for 4 years, I'm still facepalming.

You did well, grasshoppa. -
Consider building a little shack with spare supplies close to the entrance of the archives where you can also set your spawn point. The boss is not the only way to die in the archives and it's prudent to take precautions against the unforeseen - such as a sudden stop at the end of an accidental fall from a very high place. There's a couple places that can happen.

In my 1.15 world (my first long run after a half dozen burner worlds to learn the game), I accidently despawned a beehive about 200 blocks from home. Went on a search and finally found bees a mere 2,500 blocks away. The next year, with iron under my belt, I was cutting down some irksome pine trees less than 100 blocks from my home and wondered why I suddently had honeycomb in my inventory. grrrr...

Nah. I just have a veritably vast variety to my vocabulary. -
It's literally the first question on this page Frequently Asked Questions - Vintage Story Why is the game not on Steam? We are fully aware that Steam will offer a lot of additional exposure and likely a large increase in sales. There's several reasons we are not goi... Up until about a year ago or so, Tyron posted sales in the past 24 hours on the homepage somewhere. Projecting the 24 hour sales rate to a monthly number it was about 1,000 copies a month at that time.

I might suggest adding a back door to the home so that said missile throwing miscreants aren't so maliciuos in their mischievous mayhem. assuming you don't already have a back door to your home. -
Would it be ok to download a copy for my screen saver slide show?

Stone path slabs can ONLY be placed in the bottom half of a block.

Rift in the second pic. Just to the right of the path. Unfortunately it was evening and I didn't think if it was going to disperse before dawn.

No. Chiselled blocks are forever static except for additional chiselling.

Lovely, interesting or just plain bizarre landscapes

That there is the mother of all tidal erosion. Probably be best not to land as your weight might tip those precariously balanced lands into the sea. -
I can only imagine how long it takes to make one of these amazing creations. I'm not so good with the building and, especially the chiseling (my talents aren't of the artistic side) but marvel and gawk at what you artisans do with the game!
