  1. From you description and some trial and error, the glue now works similar to water (in other words, as liquid). If you have tried to cook some portion of soup in cooking pot, the multi-click is for determing the number of portions of 'meal'. So an educated guess is the glue-making process inheriting some cooking pot mechanics. Weird but understandable.
  2. Based on wiki ore deposits data, though bismuthinite only bountiful in basalt, it is at least rich in all the igneous rock layer in addition to medium in slat&phyllite, which means it is actually quite widespread. Additionally, bismuth is only 10% needed for the alloy, which translates to a small amount of 20 nuggets for pick+anvil. Interesting enough, bismuth can be more easily found than tin, as tin is only bountiful in Peridotite and medium in other igneous and slat & phyllite. The zinc can be easily byproduct when mining copper, as the Sphalerite is everywhere except the three special rocks (marb, kim, suev). So overall, if one keeps on prospecting, the bismuth bronze is easier than tin bronze and far more feasible than black bronze.
  3. If you want more 'dynamic' world like the sudden landslides, I would also suggest turn on the lighting fire, which can sometimes fight the nasty rusty with sheer nature force of FIRE
  4. Your suggestion is exactly the idea implemented in mod Primitive Survival, which I really enjoyed.
  5. Oh, that's cool, especially thinking that the game's sanity-related mechanics effects of seeing otherworldly images are quite similar to mushroom poisoning IRL.
  6. Is this a mod? Only found similar visual illusion due to the Primitive Survival snake venom.
  7. Is that the case? I have started my new world this Monday and in passive setting the drifter wandering in my base do fight back with throwing rock when I hit it with my spear.
  8. Very nice combination indeed! And this reminds me of old days in high school where the gate is exactly like this. The supervisors tend to close the bigger one and use the smaller side door as crowd control when pinpointing students late to school
  9. Well, if you are looking for lime for leathermaking, some alternates exist. Both chalk and marble can also be grinded in quern to create lime. Speaking of searching for certain rock layer, to my experience, mostly luck tbh. You will probably find bauxite or Peridotite the next obstacle sooner or later...
  10. to @Taraxa, are you using any mods that change the worldgen like Rivers or Terra Pretty? I have far too attached to these two mods and can only share my experience with those mods. 70/200 works for me, the landscape is seamless especially considering the rivers spawned by the mod. Do note that the worldgen applys to the whole world, so you will commonly encounter huge pangaea due to the 1024000*1024000 world size. So I tend to limit the that to a dozen thousand length by each side. From wiki page(outdated to be noted), 70/10 is like archipelago, 70/50 is more like several main islandshttps://wiki.vintagestory.at/World_Configuration/en
  11. An one-body dwarf fortress, very interesting! It is quite possible if one can farm and plant trees underground, with some mods' help. Something like modify the worldgen to ensure some soil spawn underground is necessary. Or we can mitigate by some minimum exploration above ground (fro tree and soil at least) maybe.
  12. Oh, the Balearic slingers, remind me of the old days with Rome Total War(the original one, not 2, not the revamp). Those dudes, together with the Rhodes archers, are solid mercenaries for the starting Rome armies in the game.
  13. Well... You may want to try the wiki page about the world configuration Speaking of rivers, the vanilla setting has no way to generate anything similar to a river. You'd better get the mod "River".
  14. I am sure there is a mod implemented that...
  15. From what I saw from the wiki before, the spawn location of those creatures is solely about the conditions set in the world generation, which is not changed by planting trees. Surely the criteria probably has changed over updates, but last time when I checked in 1.20.8, it stays as it was. Have you installed any mods about spawning?
  16. This is BELL. This is diving BELL Hopefully, there won't be this day soon, as there are no water drifters for now.
  17. Looks like some files are missing. Have you tried the fixing mode?
  18. Well, let me try my wits to explain this. 1. -10 outside at about 4 pm likely means around -18 at 4 am, so even accounting for the greenhouse, your rye will still suffer from cold damage. And crops cannot grow below 0, whether rye or pineapple, the threshold is just there to protect from cold damage, not from halting growth. 2. The difference could be due to the game simulating the temperature block by block or just some delay in the simulation(similarly, the greenhouse takes some time to validate every block's +5 temperature). With a long enough period, from my observation, every crop's growth will stunt under occasionally too low ambient temperature.
  19. It is mentioned in the cooking page on the wiki, though the time is only half a minute per 100 satiety.https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Cooking
  20. Well...if you do not know, eating a meal gives your character a time period of "satiety safe," which is why it is highly advised rather than eating raw or simply roasted if the situation allows. The time of the period depends on the satiety recovered by the meal, though the exact formula is not remembered for now, 30 minutes looks quite close to the maximum.
  21. That's why I have taken some mods to adjust not only those wooden materials (planks, branches, firewood, etc.) but also peanuts, soybeans, buckets, dough, etc.
  22. https://wiki.vintagestory.at/Glue Glue is more like an immersion option by utility, but one can always disable the option to ignore the "repair" process.
  23. You mean like scrolling the mouse wheel out? That's weird. Have you installed any mods?
  24. The white squres look like bugged snow texture, considering you are already in winter. What is your world height? I doubt it is the default 256, considering red wood shall not generate above 180 with the default 110 sea level.
  25. Does this setup work? The raw cheese in the image is not ripening.
