  1. In the coming update, you'll be able to spend a chisel to break your anvil back down into ingots. Eventually you'll be able to straight-re-melt things, when you get some higher tier tech.

  3. I believe pigs offer more efficient 'production' on a per-feed basis, because they have so many more offspring per pregnancy. Also don't be surprised if sheep get rebalanced now that they're the sole milk producer. I too would like to be able to feed pigs veggies though.
  4. It's worth pointing out that the intent originally was that there be a linen set of 'under-armor' to start your chain with. Arming doublet or whatever. However the linen set didn't get made in time for the armor update, which is why we're left with just leather for under-armor. At some point, the armor system will get revisited and updated. It's just not priority atm. It was rather rushed in along with tiered drifters, so that players had some way to survive them. Even if not perfectly balanced in terms of gameplay. These discussions are useful, as they'll probably inform the end balancing. I'll also point out that things like copper and bronze were never really intended to compete with other 'serious' armor. Copper was almost not included at all, as there's little or no historical precedent. But we like to provide options. In the early game, flax has a lot of other demands on it, aside from armor. Also it's very easy to make certain judgements as seasoned experience players, but newbs sometimes make fun and interesting choices.
  5. 1.14 won't have any skin like what you have in your picture - no warm tones at all really. Closest you'll be able to get would be an albino-ish skin.
  6. @Lemniscate_Mike I'm not great at modding myself, but I'd ask if you're just modifying the seraph skin texture, or other things as well? I don't know why just modifying the seraph skin texture would affect clothing. If you're modifying files directly in the game folders, rather than making a mod of it, it'd make me wonder if you accidentally messed with some other files... What version are you on? You may want to hold off on this till 1.14 drops, if you're not already using the 1.14 pre-releases. 1.14 will change a lot of character appearance related stuff anyway.
  7. When the faq mentions coupons, it's in the context of an streamer. So Tyron might give them a code for 20% discount for the first 20 takers or something. And the streamer hands out that code as part of their stream. But to my knowledge Tyron doesn't hand out individual coupons. So you might try convincing a Russian streamer to do vintage story.

    I don't know if there's any technical hurdles to that, but I'm pretty sure that Tyron would do that assuming it's possible, in the event the game becomes available on steam. As Stroam kind of pointed out, the game is likely to be quite a bit more expensive if it does move to steam. Part of steam's TOS is that you cannot charge less for the game anywhere else, and we already have a lot of players that say the game is a steal at the current price. The price hasn't been raised in I think maybe 2 years or more. It wouldn't surprise me if the price went up a bit in the near future, regardless of steam. Not my decision though.

    It'll just spawn a swarm of bees like appears when you break a skep. They'll attack the nearest entity, just like the ones which come from a skep. Which can be you, if you're closest. I've hardly used them myself, and certainly never killed anything with them. It wouldn't surprise me if anything they kill gets the 'killed by another animal' drop debuff. Dummies don't drop anything anyway, to the best of my knowledge.
  10. For slabs, you can put them in your grid, and get out a 'horizontal only' version. And then you can put that in the grid and get a 'vertical only' version. And then put that in and get the normal mode again. Helps if you need to place a lot of one orientation.
  11. Ya like I said, it's a weird bug. Mods are my go-to-blame thing normally for weird bugs but since you're not using them, I'm at a loss there. There's been some other cases where people had really weird bugs, and a reinstall fixed it. That's why I tossed it out there.
  12. When you spawn into the world, you are at 'actual' coordinates of about 500k, 500k. But nobody wants to look at that many zeros all the time, so you get 'fake' coords for world spawn of 0,0. So that you don't have to read such huge numbers. World spawn is what everyone's coords under the minimap are relative to. In the beginning the world spawn is also your personal spawn, so they're the same thing at that point. Eventually, if you reset your spawn with a temporal gear, that becomes your personal spawn. However if another player were to join, their spawn would be the world spawn point, not your personal spawn point. 0,0 is always the world spawn. And in most cases the world spawn will be about 500k,500k, in the 'real' coordinate system, which you never seen except in the cntrl-F3 menu. iirc, you can leave the vintagestorydata folder and it's content untouched. I believe it's the plain Vintagestory folder that has to go. But I think if you use the normal uninstall function (assuming you're on windows), it will automatically leave whatever is unnecessary to delete. Or give you a prompt. I think most games work that way. I do not know. I'm not a coder. I'm trying to give some simplistic advice and a possible thing to try, but if that doesn't work I have not idea if there's any way to fix it. You'd have to ask Tyron at that point.
  13. I'm not a modder by any means, but rams already will attack you unprovoked if you get too close. So I'd suggest looking at rams and see how they do it.
  14. currently just buckets, unfortunately. You can treat hides with more liquid than necessary. Just not less. So the ratio doesn't have to be exact. You can have extra liquid.
  15. I don't believe Neolithic is current, btw. Haven't heard from it's creator in 6 months at least, I think.
  16. Sounds like a very strange bug. There's two coordinate systems in the game. There's the "absolute" coordinate system, which is the real one. those coordinates go up into the hundreds of thousands. Then there's the one you normally see under the minimap, which is relative to your spawn point. Normally this problem happens when people move the server spawn point (not your personal one, but the server one where new players arrive). Everyone's coords get messed up when that happens. But your case is different than that somehow. I would be interesting to know if your world spawn also changes by the same amount, randomly. Or even your personal spawn point when just you die. The 'global' one would be hard to check in single player, if you've already set your personal spawn elsewhere. I might also suggest a fresh install of the game, just in case.

    fyi you can already make slaked lime, as part of the path to making mortar. You can to crush chalk/limestone rocks, or seashells, to get lime, cook it in a firepit, put it in a barrel with water, and add sand.
  18. Likewise, I'm not aware of any plans for natural disasters to affect structures. Crops, quite possible. But I think as a general rule most people aren't really into having their bases destroyed by random chance. I'm pretty certain if it was ever a vanilla feature, it would be an 'opt-in' one.
  19. Arrows can break yes. The chance is reduced the higher tier material the arrow head is, I think.
  20. You can go into creative mode without causing any issues. Time will still pass. However if you do some time-related creative commands, there's a fair chance you will permanently mess things up, depending on what you do.
  21. The reinforcing system was put in for multiplayer environments. To the best of my knowledge there are currently no plans to have mobs attack blocks in general, like drifters just tearing down walls and doors of all kinds. That's not to say there may not be certain situations down the road, for instance a mob that attacks with explosives (block damage would be collateral in that case, and not a specific target of the mob), or for instance if large wildlife like elephants could just plow through regular wood fences. I can't say there will never be specific instances such as these. But the team is not interested in just destroying peoples' hard-built bases every night I think.
  22. Ya sand and gravel of all types drop the same stuff, aside form the stones of course, which match they type they come from.
  23. There is a mining bag, actually. Much more room than backpack, but only accepts ores, rocks, and similar types of things.
  24. It was 12 days per month in 1.13, iirc. I believe in 1.14 it is reduced to 9 per month.
