  1. A lot of people swear by AMD. But for me, my perfect setup has always been Intel (anything but celeron), GForce graphics card, and a Logitech mouse. Brand loyalty these days looks dead in the water now.
  2. And any server administrator or owner that doesnt comply, will have his own service, and those of the members be flagged as well. And as a result this will affect his income as well.
  3. This is not the end goal. The end goal is to have everyone registered on a database, and for whatever reason in the future, with the system you described, be denied service for wrong think, and not allowed to have any interaction with any online community. You are probably right regarding that. The government will be using a centralised database, that they own and control. And expect everyone else to refer to that database.
  4. For some odd reason, flax can be the hardest crop for me to find sometimes. That and cattails. My current map has the closest cattails a good 300 blocks away from my spawning area. And on single player worlds I tend to make my base close to, or at world spawn itself.
  5. Personally though when I have children that I need to take care of for the day, and they are not old enough for VS, i just put the other block game on for them, or if I happen to play vintage story, I let them watch, seeing they like to see what I am doing. Once they hit age 12-15 though, I try to introduce them to VS, and see if they like it. Generally though its been a hit and a miss... But they are at that point aware of the game, and may return to it at a later stage.
  6. Bout the same for me regarding some of the order. Expand the personal storage. Find a good point to plonk down as a base, and collect food, bones, and hides. Every map so far, I still make the same mistake (leaving the farm for too late), yet still manage to collect enough crops to last me past winter. With enough food in trunks, and cooked into meals, it becomes less of an urgent matter, and more secondary. That is when I pay more attention to exploring.
  7. In your case, I honestly don't know. Just to clarify my point though, I am not advocating for violence, nor condoning it. Use their (collective shout) playbook against them for one. Also, look at their past activity, and what they were defending in the past (Defending the cuties movie for one). I just find it odd that they would do this in the aftermath of what "Stop Killing Games" were trying to do in getting the AAA gaming companies to stop killing their game servers though. Beginning to think they are behind collective shout.
  8. Same thing still applies there. If the activists fail to change what they perceive as hateful or fail to stop the developers from working on said game they will run to the hosting provider of the developer. Going so far as to try to have the developer web page removed from the internet. And theybwill lay a complaint with the payment process as a last resort. Just like with steam and itch.io If they get their way they will push for exactly that, and I guarantee they will not stop there till the target is financially ruined and unable to make a living in future even. There is a lot we can do, if we start right now. Or we risk loosing everything. By writing them off as no big deal, we fall into a trap. Treat them as a threat, and deal with them.
  9. If I were you, I would break the charcoal pit open right now, and recover whatever of your firewood is still left. I had the same situation myself a few times, and it only happens when the pit is not 100% full about 99% or so. The other 1% is the game glitching. When you are done recovering your firewood, restack everything from scratch, verifying you stacked 100% full. Finishing up with the firepit, and covering that up. That should resolve the problem. If you were busy with baking pottery or other clay items, you forgot to leave a 1 block gap between the pit, and the block covering for when it rains.
  10. The way I understand the situation, it can go the following ways. if you host your own server, on your own hardware, you will be responsible for age verification. Fail, and if it was connected to the internet, enforcement will come from the network providers. If you rent a virtual, cloud, or barebone server from someone else, or another company, they will be responsible for the age verification. Regardless of what you allow on your rented server. And if the person or company fails to enforce the age verification, it will fall again on the network providers to do the enforcement. Either way, this could also end up with you being reported to the financial side (banks, or transaction managers, etc...), who could decide to penalise you financially (which will be the end game imo if they manage to push far enough with the Online ID verification, which is nothing to do with children, and everything to do with rolling out the Social Credit System on a global scale.).
  11. Its a fairly old series from 2000 to 2002. Cancelled after season 2.
  12. It'll be more like Dark Angel imo. The tech is allready moving in that direction. Activists couldnt get their way to pressure gaming companies, so they ran to the payment processors. Who did the dirty work. Government in its infinite wisdom (never let a good crisis go to waste, and if none is available, manufacture a crisis), is getting involved now. And this is the excuse they need to start to censor not just games, but movies, books, and whatever else they deem a problem for them. 1984, and Brave new World was meant as a caution, not to be taken literally as a "handbook for dummies" for Dictators. In a sense we are allready seeing Idiocracy been enacted in real time. Some places more than others.
  13. Had a similar problem before I realised the game was lagging due to insufficient ram. Now I pay a lot more attention to the ram remaining when installing any new mods.
  14. Start with opening a terminal (while the game is running), and see how much free ram is left. Then if you have mods installed, check if you have any mods installed that make changes to storage. Or adds more storage options. Other than that, I got no idea.
  15. Censorship of something is a slippery, downhill slope. With a boulder that grows exponentially, the longer it rolls downhill. Once you start censoring one thing, and allowing the government to do the censoring, they will take that power and start censoring far beyond their mandate. And the longer the situation goes on, the more the censor till they start to censor critisisms of the government, and what they are doing, in the name of protecting people. Either this is stopped (what the payment processors and banks are doing) right here and now, or a few years from now, you will not be able to stop it. It'll be too late (and no. Its not fear mongering. I see what is happening in a certain asian country right now, where the citizens are facing that scenario right now).
  16. Again, that is what the content rating system is for. And my point still stands. So because steam refused to block the releas of "game x" in australia because they want to "protect the children" (tired excuse for anything that needs censoring that the government doesnt like), the government (of Australia) goes and shuts the platform (an American owned) down. The moment you give any government agency power, they take it, and go far beyond what was originally intended, and then they take that power and abuse it. And it takes a massive fight to get that power back again. And that is assuming you even can. It is NOT the responsibility of payment processors, or even banks. Even governments needs strict legal limits as to what they are permitted to police, and to know their own geographical limits. They do not get to enforce australian laws in other countries like they are vassal states. And activist organisations need to know their place as well.
  17. Using ai to generate it is ok, I suppose. But personally I would prefer something that was made by an actual human. Might look crappy, but least then it will be real and genuine.
  18. Since when does people in say Australia get to decide what I can or cannot buy if I am in South Africa? Same with for example UK, or USA, or whatever? They are not local to me, in any stretch of the imagination even.
  19. Local law makers lol. Also laws shift and change. So does morals, and moral values. What is morally correct say 20, or even 3 years ago would suddenly become illegal. All based on the whims of the lawmaker. Who by the way are exempt from the very laws that they enforce on us, the common folk. And as Never Jhonsen stated, content that was perfectly legal was taken down just because of one complaint from someone that didnt like it, and cause they couldnt accept (read refuse) what the platform stated, they went to the payment processors, and demand they take action against the platform. The very same payment processor that is going over, above, and beyond what they are supposed to do in the first place. Same with governments. That enforce countries laws against people that are not even citizens of that country in the first place. Violating everyones rights in the first place.
  20. There is where the age rating systms (like the ESRB, and PEGI come in to play). Also it is not the responsibility of banks and payment processors to act as morality police for everyone. That is the job of parents to watch out for their own children. If a platform breaks the law, then there are laws to deal with them. Existing laws. If they fail to follow the law, then use the legal system to deal with them. Using the banks and payment processors to debank platforms is crossing the line. And also who gets to decide what is right or wrong, or even legal in the first place. What one person may find is perfectly normal or legal, another would find it as morally illegal.
  21. This is a question and discussion more directed to the developers, and to get clarity. With payment processors and banks interfering in markets regarding payments that we as people make to companies that we want to support (ie censorship of content they dont like), does Anego studios have a fallback option like crypto, so you can still sell the game? Cause I dont like the direction of things the way they are now with payment processors, whose ONLY job imo is to facillitate payment from the willing buyer, to the willing seller.
