I suppose this means a new world creation to experience this new content? Or will we be able to revisit the Lazaret to enjoy this new content? Finally, suevite gets some love! Thank you @Saraty for getting this done. even if it has been over 2 years since I mentioned this. Welp @Kurazarrh. There goes that exploit once and for all.

I built a very simple outpost for the RA. Just a shack (maybe 5x5), dug a cellar (put door on the entrance) and a few trunks to use as a transfer point for all the desired loots. So long as you don't leave at a critical time (i.e. grain close to harvest and potentially temperature damaged if you don't harvest within 7 days of maturing) those chores at home can wait for you to get back. My first RA run had horrid terrain to get through. I found a TL that dropped me off about 1,000 blocks from the RA, but there was hilly forest, pond/lakes just to get to the RA mountainous region. That 1,000 blocks would take about 45 minutes irl to navigate one way, iirc. By the time I got back the crops I had planted shortly before I left were ready for harvest. Then again, that TL was at the bottom of an ocean. I had to create a 30 or 40 block tall column to get to the surface and then build a boat house on top of that before even embarking on the first trip to the RA. I suggest taking either a cooking pot and bowl, or an oven and table with sufficient ingredients to cook the meals you think you'll need.

If you go in with bronze, be sure to take plenty of healing supplies. Depending on your strategy and RNG it could turn out to be difficult. My 2 trips through the RA were totally different. First time (as blackguard) didn't need any healing. Second time as hunter, things went south at the end and used all the healing I brought with me.

It's possible to defeat the boss in the archives with flint spears and poultices. For those of us with age eroded gaming skills? Hmmmm... Bronze could do it. Iron if you fear the worst case scenario is the best case scenario.

Candle? yes. Lantern? eeehhh.. no. Yes the lantern has a candle but it is within the lantern and a pain in the keister to get out. But that's my 2 cents on this.- 1 reply

Animals need food for only two things - breeding and increasing weight for slaughter. Otherwise they will survive and mature if locked in a pure stone box. How? I've got no freaking clue, but they do. Magic I guess?

Welcome to the forums! Node search mode adds all of the blocks of ore in a cube 13 blocks in "diameter" (on default setting) in real time and spits out a general indication of how many blocks it found ranging from no ore found (if sum was exactly zero blocks), trace for 1 to a small handful, all the way up to huge (I think if it's a couple/few hundred). It's possible that the node search found multiple deposits within the search area. It will also indicate multiple ores and relative sizes.

Thank you. This is where I was trying to steer this conversation with my previous comment. Lovecraft's personal life need not be discussed here (not because I agree with it, I don't) but it detracts from our enjoyment of the literary genre he fathered as portrayed in this game.

His racism and hatred don't really come out in his stories. It's a shame that people can't separate the man from his work and throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Low temporal stability results in a personal temporal storm. Hover over that greenish/grey gear to see how much temporal stability you have left. If it's below about 25% you'll start geting that personal temporal storm. This is intended behavior. edit - watched the vid and you stepped into an invisible rift. That gear started spinning like it was on meth, indicating you were standing in a rift.

You could do a time set command to advance to a day you like. I'm not sure what kind of impact that will have on your game.

Not a dev, just been around a while and have paid attention when those techie players show up. If you're concerned about corrupting a world, definitely make a back up first.

It could be the mines associated with the archives. The mines are also protected but a few hundred blocks away from the archives.

Armor can only be repaired with the same material was crafted from. As @queerginger55 mentioned, the lamallae should be able to be melted down. You may have to chisel the lamallae into brass bits/nuggets before you can melt them down.

Ok, I sit corrected on the ruins. Today I learned. I stand by my comment on ores still changing between worlds with identical seed/settings.

The wiki is dependent upon volunteers, so the information is likely incomplete and/or out of date. The handbook is your best source of information.

Rifts will open up depending on the rift activity. As activity increases so do the number of rifts. If'n it's calm rift activity you shouldn't see any rifts.

This is a bug that devs are hunting. Hopefully it's fixed in the 1.20.12 udpate.

Haven't heard that complaint about wolves. I usually hear them growl plenty long before I encounter them. Bears on the other hand. Usually the only time I know they're there is when I spot them. Only audio I hear is after I already know they've agro'd on me.

Some of it is that I can interpret multiple meanings from what is said. My wife gets so incredibly frustrated when I ask her a plethora of questions to make sure I rule out all but one of my interpretations of what she said.
