Branislav Kostic
Any ETA on 1.18 and new world generator? I saw something about continents and oceans/seas and I can't wait to see that feature (if it's still planned)
Streetwind
@Branislav Kostic The focus of 1.18 is lore, storytelling, and ruin generation, per official statement of intent. World generation updates and oceans were never attached to any particular update so far, only mentioned as a future possibility (among many others). Unless Tyron gets particularly sidetracked, don't hold your breath for anything of that sort in 1.18. Sinda
If I may ask since we are talking about future updates - is there any plan to add more animals to the game, mainly birds? I have seen somewhere nice picture of the planned bird and since then nothing ^.^ Would love to have them in the game. Rhyagelle
There's a bug in this release for certain trees not chopping down with the proper tools...until you get to the top and chop down from extending branches first. If a piece is above another, you cannot cut it. In particular, Ebony really hates any attempt to knock it down the good ole fashion way.

Since you're calling out ebony in particular, that brings to mind this line from the 1.17.0 patch notes: Quote Purpleheart requires at least a copper/scrap axe to fell; ebony requires at least a bronze axe Does this solve your conundrum? Or are you getting the same issue with bronze or iron axes? Edited September 25, 2022 by Streetwind
