Ryumachinae Posted February 13 Report Posted February 13 Previous hunting method didn't work for me, did they ever explicitly state if bears can climb out of these now, or can they use ladders?

williams_482 Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 I believe bears have a step height of 3. I've seen them climb directly over small trees to attack me. I dig my pits 4 deep and never have a problem. 1

No, I really mean most creatures, though to be fair, I've only witnessed monsters specifically climbing the ladders, and never really cared to test creature climbing ability otherwise(I don't utilize pits). The funniest one I've seen is probably the bowtorn. 1

I have a ladder that I have to jump up to for getting out... have never seen anything climb out of the pit...
marmarmar34 Posted February 14 Report Posted February 14 I had that "oh crap" moment when I was climbing up the windmill i was in the middle of building. I look down to see a bear slowly gliding upwards after me! Thankfully, he couldn't fit through my hatch. Smacked him once and saw as he came crashing back down to earth. Definitely one of my most looney tunes moment I've had playing this game.
