  1. ACHTUNG! Go into a test world and practice with the command before changing it in your favorite world. Save a backup copy of your world. After you change the setting, exit the game and hover your mouse cursor over the world and see if it lists the setting the way you wanted it. It should say the same thing from the world creation menu with all the text. If it is only a number without the "blah blah forest (x%)" then you did it wrong. If it does then go at it in your main world..after you back it up and change the setting. /worldconfig globalforestation <X> <X> = 0 default, the range is 1 to -1 -0.25 (somewhat less forested -25%) -0.50 (Significantly less forested -50% And so on: -0.75, -0.90, -1 To regenerate the terrain you use the /wgen regen command. BUT this completely resets the chunks. It will delete anything you built and restore it to the new world config settings. It will also remove and reset traders. So if you reset a chunk with a trader it will delete that trader. It will spawn a new trader around the same area but not in the exact same spot so be careful if you have a trader you want to keep. /wgen regen <radius> <radius> = number of chunks around you to be reset. I highly advise you do no more than 5. It gets very laggy and you loose control of what you are reseting. Good luck!
  2. I don't know if it had increased or not, but I've always thought it was a bit OP to find one.
  3. @Broccoli Clock No thanks.IMO the forest on default settings are enough to be annoying already. Thankfully they scaled back forests recently so you can ride the elk a little better.
  4. I know others have said it may be possible bit i can confirm You can 100% change this setting via commands. It only affects new chunk generation unless you regen the old chunks which will completely reset them. I can look up the command when Im in front of my computer if you need help.
  5. The only world it would have made sense for me was a playthrough I did with 70% landmass. Did you set up a low landmass world? Even then I'd probably still do the windmill first myself and use the raft until the second growing season.
  6. The boat is definitely not high on my priority list. The windmill and helve are the first place my flax goes for making armor. Chain is woth it if you want to spend time manually beat it out. You can do that at night to not waste time.
  7. Confirmed, its stable inside the RA. One step outside is unstable though.
  8. Every RA I've visited has been stable. What is your game seed? Now I want to check. I don't need any other setting since the RA is a fixed location.
  9. Unless something has changed, inside the archives is stable. Steel plate amor is a trap. I haven't tried it yet with the new healing mechanic, but it will slow down how fast you can heal yourself to the point where it is hard to keep up with healing in long duration fights. Steel chain is overkill already for the archives.
  10. /gm 2 /help worldconfig I don't think the listing is updated anywhere on the Wiki.
  11. Amen, Terra preta isn't a must have unless you are playing something like snowball earth with a very limited growing season. I do make some, because why not and I don't turn my nose up at it if I do find it (yes you can still find it in one vanilla ruin), but it isn't going to make your game any better having 3 pieces of it in your farm.
  12. This happened to me one time. I had to delete the configuration files to reset it. So just delete every configuration file you can find then reinstall the game. I would tell you the exact file but I'm in an airport.
  13. If the hosting service allows (as noted in the post above) then all you have to do is send them your save game. The single player game save file is the same as a multiplayer file.
  14. I just want to acknowledge your Dostoevesky reference. That was unexpected in this forum. I don't recall that in the book but its been 20 years. Ive still never made it more than 100 pages into the Brothers Karamazof.
  15. Its so mildly annoying when I have just one bloom left and I need just one more ingot and this happens. It's definitely a feature at this point.
  16. I use another barrel and mix up more lime/borax water then transfer it to the first barrel.
  17. Its just for looks. I was tossed up there are least one time before they fixed it. The first boss is easy to me, as long as you have healing items and don't wear player made plate armor. It was tougher when healing was interrupted. No armor is better than plate armor in that fight.
  18. There is definitely a mod that saves the bits for you. I havent made a mistake in a long time, so really once you get used to it the mod isn't needed anymore.
  19. I'm not even a "builder" and I think that some type of vannila quarry ability needs to be added. Maybe require steel tools so it isn't available right away and gives another reason to actually use steel.
  20. Kill more bears and make more armor!
  21. Unless they changed it, the salted meat works in meals.
  22. Another less efficient method would be nice. Salt is hard to find so it makes sense that it would be the "game" best option, but smoking could be a vanilla option that doesn't last as long or maybe loose some satiation. Maybe lock it behind bronze working to add more difficulty.
  23. I can't imagine how long it would taken me to realize that. I watched a YouTuber before I bought the game so I knew that going in at least.
  24. Oops
