It's not primitive survival. It's Creatures and Critters that adds crocigators.
-
@Streetwind I'm having the darnedest time finding borax to begin steelmaking. What do you recommend I do to have the highest degree of success in finding this elusive mineral?
-
I think primitive survival adds alligators. If not that particular mod a different one does.

I would argue the climate is what impacts spoilage rate, not the temp. I don't know for sure one way or the other, but shouldn't be hard to test - see if spoilage rate differs for the same temp in different climates or not..

There's already a reason to add trains. That far off iron mine (and any other ore mines nearby). Have you ever mined out an iron deposit and then spent three or four trips lugging all the iron chunks back home for processing? It's pretty bad when that trek is 1,000+ blocks, one way.

My first encounter with a bell... Descending a ladder to the bottom of a pit, heard the claxon go off and started looking around. NO side caves whatsoever! WTH??? Where's that dang bell at? Keep looking around coz I know there's drifters and locusts being summoned. Only none appear coz there's no place for them to spawn. Figuring the bell is in a nearby blocked off cave I keep descending and the clarion calling of the bell fades as I descend until I hear the claxon of ANOTHER bell!! And this time I can see the bottom to this deadly pit and the drifters and locusts gathering for the party. The ogre men are still inside, the two-way mirror mountain You gotta keep down right out of sight You can't see in, but they can see out "Ooh, keep a lookout" Come tonight Come to the ogre site Come to the ogre battle fight

temp doesn't matter for spoilage rates, iirc. Temp only impacts the seraph.

you have to craft packed dirt (see handbook for recipe) from soil you dig up. I'm questioning myself a bit on the spoilage. Your cellar might not be recognized as a cellar. First - make sure the internal dimensions (air space as previously mentioned) is no more than 7x7x7. If that is true, then where do you see the spoilage rate?
-
Yes you have a cellar. The spoilage rate is what indicates the cellar is recognized. Cellars do not need to be 7 blocks underground. They just need to be no more than 7 blocks (cubic) internal space built out of dirt or rock material - packed dirt, cobble, etc. Wood does not a cellar make. Increased benefit if you do dig it out of the rocky ground though.

how to put your images on the wallpaper of the main menu

Probably best to sign up for the Discord server. Devs are much, MUCH more active there than here. -
There's a mod that reduces/eliminates the camera motion and wavy storm effects. I think it's one of the accessibility mods.

Consider that steam technology is end game mechanics on the roadmap. The devs (all one and a half of them) have a lot of work to go before the game is ready for steam implementation. I expect that oceans, rivers and water content will be added to the game long before steam technology is. Until then we can dream and discuss.

I think there should be base recipes available for all classes with class specific items that provide better benefits. Lighter but more protective armor for the blackguard, warmer clothing for the tailor, etc.

1.17.x+ Builders Blocks- Over 750 new building blocks!
Maelstrom replied to Mr1k3's topic in Mod Releases
I absolutely LOVE the color suevite gives but frustrated that it has an incomplete block pallet. My first world ended with two stacks of suevite slabs that couldn't be further chiseled the the bricks required for the coveted brick building block. -

Do you make ALL stone blocks (like suevite) have all the block variant, such as brick (which suevite doesn't have in vanilla)? -
Only problem is that wolf meat cannot be incorporated in meals (unless you're running a mod like Expanded Foods). @DawningYou can throw the wolf meat in a container, let it rot and convert it to compost.

What do you want to see more of in base game?/ Possible mod integration
Maelstrom replied to FizzyB's topic in Discussion
Insect noises as well. Devs don't frequent the forums much, but (to my understanding) are much more active on the Discords. You may want to check in there. -
I'd like to see why there is such a high prevalence of meteors. Seems like whatever shattered the world temporally included some kind of massive meteor shower.

I'd like to see a variety of bird sounds in biome specific areas, e.g. meadowlarks in plains, owls in forests, etc. Birds don't have to exist but hearing them would be fantastic! -
Or create leaking logs spawning resin?
-
What's the possibility of creating a world that has a seed hard-coded and iron generation removed as a demo world? This would make a demo that gives pretty much all of the current game mechanics (short of steel) but limits game play to encourage purchase of the game.

Fortunately, that night wasn't apocalyptic level activity, but those three rifts sure made it seem like it was. Unfortunately, I couldn't get bees going before winter, but as you can see I'll be ready to properly light my home once I harvest my apiary (currently a 6x6 grid of skeps).

Didn't realize it was a link to discord. Looked at it on the home puter and excited for what that thing could be. -
