How do you survive temporal storms?

I die almost every single time a temporal storm happens, and the times I don't, I'm locked in my cellar whimpering in the corner, any tips?

The big 4 are sleep through them, create a non-spawnable bolt hole, get better at evasion and spear chucking, and just plain running.

Alternate on #2 is a non-spawnable bolt hole that includes ability to chuck spears at and harvest drifters if you are careful about it.  Generally built far enough from your base that if you exit it and run clear after the storm the remaining drifters will despawn and none spawned on or in your base area.

Personal Dirt bunker and do something else for a while and then when the storm is over go for a run to clear the local zone you were in and then back to whatever it was i was doing

Simples way I found is to raft around for a while if you really can't do the other options. Works in a pinch when one sneaks up on you.

I usually build up 3 blocks, on 3rd 4 ladders around an fight from top block or around the safe area, so anytime can jump up to to ladder and be safe at the 3rd block.
