Purchasable at various NPCs Niiiiiiiice! 5 minutes ago, Tyron said: Fixed: Frequent lagspikes related to creature spawning, introduced in 1.20 That's excellent! I wondered if it was due to spawns in freshly loaded chunks. 8 minutes ago, Tyron said: Fixed: Some recipes for new bricks were missing. I hope that includes the clinker brick block that looks all janky! I really want to build something with it. 3 1
Adnyeus Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 I need this update like an alcoholic needs his daily intake—without it, my day just isn’t complete! 7
LadyWYT Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 37 minutes ago, Tyron said: Fixed: Antlers and horns no longer properly shed, nor are they properly harvest-able This is probably my favorite part of the fix list; means I can now decorate my stuff with proper hunting trophies! 38 minutes ago, Tyron said: Fixed: Male moose spawn without any companion animals This would explain why I've never seen any female moose or mooselets running around. 3

I haven't played 1.20, but I know somebody who regularly mentions the lack of female bears in the game. Have you run across any females in your play sessions?

Thorfinn Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 (edited) My favorite bit: Quote Possibly the last release candidate before we go stable. \o/ Not that I've minded the pre or RCs one bit, as evidenced by the fact I have separate installs for each of them so if I run into something, I can see, "Was that always like that?" [EDIT] Quote Fixed: Saltwater could still be placed with water transport setting off Oh, that's just great. Used to be we could tell salt water from fresh by whether it would transfer. Now we have to look at the description when selected? That is totally unacceptable! (Yes, I'm kidding.) Edited January 3 by Thorfinn 1 1 2
Guimoute Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 > Fixed: Localization: Plaques in the Resonance Archives, and similar signs in ruins or story locations, are now visible in Asian, Arabic and Cyrillic alphabets. [Github #4748] The famous "Asian alphabet".
StCatharines Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 Whoa. Tyron, you are an absolute boss. 2 hours ago, Tyron said: [Edit:] Also released rc.8 to prevent mod breakage THAT is what a dev serious about having a mod-friendly game looks like. 6

Have you run across any females in your play sessions? Bears are highly asocial and solitary animals so it could be said that it makes a bit of sense for them to not spawn with companions at least. 1 1
Town Witchdoctor Posted January 3 Report Posted January 3 Shame the pants were removed from the villager skirts, can we maybe get both versions added?
goblinx13 Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 Fruit Press is bugged, u fill 32 cranberrys and u can take out the wet mash, but u cant squeze it to juice
Gordon Wrigley Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 Some things are in the release notes multiple times.

Right click and hold on the screw to press the mash. Ctrl + right click is no longer how you manipulate the screw on the press. It seemed to only be that way for a couple of release candidates. 1

Have you run across any females in your play sessions? Yes. We've been playing 1.2 since RC3 and I've tangled with bears, and several of them female. Interestingly, I seem to get more Huge hide from the female bears than the male. But then again, that's a low sample rate as I've only knocked off 5 or 6. 1

Sex does not affect the amount of hides, only bear type:
SpaceGeek Posted January 12 Report Posted January 12 It would be nice to be able to play any of the RC's but I run Linux which seems to have been forgotten for quite some time. The flatpak is only the last stable release and the only way to manually run any of the RC's is to install dotnet7, which is unsupported by the kernel.

Just had a heavy storm that spawned only bowtorns. Don't think I'd try this storm as a blackguard with steel plate mail and a steel falx. 1 1

Welcome to the forums, @SpaceGeek Moving to .NET 8 has been talked about a lot. Last I heard is that the libraries being used had not been updated to .NET8 yet, with no answer as to when those vendors expected to update. Someone had a way to how to get .NET7 going in Linux, but I don't know the details.

I installed .NET7 (dotnet-runtime-7.0) using the package manager (apt) without any issue. 1

Just installed dotnet-runtime-7.0 via the Arch "extra" repo and everything runs without a hitch. 1 1
